Yeah, the items didn't like me. And that end of Luigi's Mansion was too close. Had I gotten that one miniturbo in, I would have won.

Ok, I've changed the scoring system a bit. Points are rewarded now based on individual wins/losses for each course. To quote verbatim...myself...here is the revised rule 7 (note the ommision of the now arbitrary 6):

7) Sets will be played "Round Robin" style. This means that everyone will try to play everyone else once. When posting the results in this topic, include who you faced, how many sets were played (only matters in the event of a double or triple draw), and the results of each set (either 2-2 all, 3-1 someone, or 4-0 someone). After everyone plays everyone else, or a week expires, a scoring system will be used to determine place based on each course (3 points for a win 0 points for a loss). For now, the bottom player will be dropped from each round or, in the event of a tie, a sudden death match consisting of 2 Figure 8's and 2 RR's will be played, the loser being eliminated.

I will now calculate current score.

Also I find it very appealing that nobody who has played has a perfect score. Should make for great competition.

You all seem to be having so much fun! I feel so left out. :P

My sis is constantly pestering my father to get a DS for her but if she gets it, I'd also be able to use it and the first game I'll get is MKDS, for sure. I can't wait (more anticipated for the Wii but anyway) but until that time, keep me in mind. I may join you all at one point down the road, hopefully.

Otherwise, congrats to all winners. It seem slike you guys have close games, huh? Those items must be a nusiance sometimes too, I bet. :P

Knuckles/Sonic/8: items can be anything from mildly irritating to doomsday style. Most are either avoidable or easy to deal with. Though there's the occasional unavoidable item like a blue shell on a narrow straightaway or a red shell on a straightaway where you have no items. But eh, skill tends to help there.

And no, RPG, you're not out of it yet. Observe the woders of...the score!

Fought with mike. He used the item-based luigi kart. Despite his well timed items, I still got 4-0 because I used Egg 1.

Also, genus, might I mention that you didn't count my Baby Park win in the fight against Groudon, and the current amount of points for me (pre-mike match) is 3 lower than it should have been.

If you just press X, without any forward/backward input, why do red shells automatically fire backwards?
