Start off spindashing without hitting any obstacles until you get to the wind that shoots you upward. The next part seems to be based on luck, but you'll either land by the spring(good), or you'll land behind the fence on the upper platform(not so good)

If you landed by the spring, hit B 2 times so you'll dash a little bit then stop, so you'll be right next to the edge to do a charge-jump to get to the next air-lift thing, maybe hitting the extra life in the process(doesn't really matter) I've noticed if you charge the dash for about 0.7 seconds, you'll get out of the air lift faster and be able to land and continue about a second faster than normal.

Continue on down the hill and hit B alot so when you land you can land on the grass, skipping the trampoline which wastes lots of time. Charge a dash for about 0.7 again here to go as far as possible, then get sucked in by the tornado.

Target time for when the screen starts to fade out- 23.90- 25.0

In the tornado hit A twice once you can jump to lock onto the spring, then hold down+left so you'll land on the top platform, ready to spindash to the jumping panels. Make sure you jump high enough when you get on the trampoline, or you'll just sit there which wastes times. On the third jump hold down+left so you'll be right at the next spring. For the last one move the camera so you can land right on the spring and get out of the tornado.

Reset after you exit the tornado, it saves a few seconds because you don't have to fall as much. As your falling hold up/right then do a spin-dash jump and try to stay along the wall and you'll land on the platform below by the speed boosting things.

When going down the hill just try to go straight down as your in ball form, this saves atleast 2-3 seconds when compared to just constant spindashing, as long as you don't hit the walls.

Hit A after yor hit the springs to go forward, then take the rocket and touch the checkpoint.

As before, rolling down the hill here is faster, but it's tougher to not hit the walls. No big deal if you hit one, just make sure your always moving.

Run through the "leaf road things", then before you get the the springs Hit A twice to lock onto them, this allows you to shoot all the way up the mountain. Hold up+right to hit the next spring as fast as possible while in the air lift.

From here I like to change from auto camera to free camera, then land by the checkpoint and quickly do a spin dash jump, try to jump OVER the loop, and hit the speed-booster thing.

Keep going until you get to the next speed boosters,(Ball rolling might save another second here) in which case you want to jump off.

Jump off to the left, and point to the right for like 0.5 sec until you see the thing moving, so you don't die. Then point a little past the opposite direction, if all goes right you'll land Right on the platform with the capsule, which is atleast 5 seconds faster than riding the leaves. Note it's hard to explain exactly where to fall, trial and error and you'll eventually figure it out.

I got my personal record of 1:40 with this, and i'm sure a second or two faster is possible, don't expect any WR's with this strat though, as they use shortcuts i've yet to figure out :p
