Hey. Who posted that? Somebody posted something innapropriate.
Creating a second account for the sole purpose of trolling yourself is a rather stupid thing to do.

I added initial support for *SCORE / *TICKS / *METER. Not sure if it works yet.

Fixed. There was a bug with media submissions for categories that only have a single division.

There's still an issue with games that use some newer formats, like CENTITICKS. I'll fix that tomorrow.

Information Kiosk / Server upgraded to Debian 7
« on: November 02, 2013, 10:44:50 pm »
Some of you may have noticed a server outage earlier today. That was because I was upgrading the server to Debian 7, which brings with it Linux 3.2, MySQL 5.5, and other updated packages that should improve overall performance.

In addition, I finished adding the base requirements for DECITICKS/CENTITICKS/MILLITICKS, which are needed for some of the M&S games. Videos aren't supported yet, but I'll add support for that later.

Also, I'm going to be working on M&S 2014 charts once the game is out.

Finally getting around to doing M&S 2012 3DS charts (and later 2014 Wii U):

Badminton (Singles)- 000 points (I don't know if they can go that high..)

Is Badminton actually trackable? According to Wikipedia, the game goes up to 21 points unless there's a tie, in which case it goes up to a maximum of 30.

So if I live in Arizona, I'd be playing at 3PM or 1PM? (I'm always lost on this subject)
Arizona doesn't observe DST, so you're 3 hours behind EDT: 6 PM EDT == 3 PM MST.

You'd be playing at 3 PM Arizona time.

Idea for an in-person game: Sonic's Gameworld. (I have a Sega Pico and a copy of the game.) Supposedly, there's an objective to the game (you're supposed to get all the Chaos Emeralds), but I haven't seen any Chaos Emeralds at all. (Then again, I haven't played it that much...)

News and Updates / The Mario & Sonic Center is open for business!
« on: January 12, 2013, 03:56:39 pm »
Announcing The Mario & Sonic Center, a new subsite for competition in the "Mario & Sonic" series. Currently, we have all three Wii games available for play, though we do plan on adding the (3)DS games in the coming weeks.

I currently hold First Place in all three games. Let's see if any of you can change that. :) (spoiler: you probably will :V)

To get to TMSC, click the new pipe/star icon on the sidebar, or click here: http://mas.soniccenter.org/

If possible, can you retake the screenshot in PNG format? Also, it's 255x192, when it should be 256x192.

There's something wrong with truesonic53's post, I'll correct it.
Russian: Счастливого Рождества! (Schastlivogo Rozhdestva!)
Also, we have it on January 7th here.
That post is a few years old, so there were probably some Unicode encoding issues. (Older versions of MySQL used "latin1" encoding by default, so converting to Unicode would result in the wrong characters showing up.)

Beef / Re: Stat Comment didn't go through...?

Fixed. This was a regression from the fix to remove extra backslashes from the comments. Turns out I ended up using the wrong variable for the source comment.

If anyone wants to add comments to stats they've submitted in the past few days, please link those stats here, along with a comment.

Have the DS charts been put up with the Wii charts?

Also obviously the Olympic Rings.
Just the Wii charts for now.

We're not using the Olympic Rings, because the IOC is a bit more strict when it comes to using their trademarks than Sega is. This is also why it's called "The Mario & Sonic Center" instead of "The Olympics Center".

Alright then. Did you open up the submissions for the admins?
Yes, TMSC admins can submit stats for M&S'08. Not that anyone's going to submit anything right now. :V

We also need an icon for TMSC for the top of the sidebar. Any suggestions?

Competition Central / Re: Reviving the idea of M&S charts

The M&S'08 charts are up on TMSC, but the subsite is still limited to admin-only for now. I still need to finish up some subsite-specific stuff, and I'm probably going to add M&S'10 and M&S'12 before making the subsite public.

Also, we decided to add time charts for skeet and archery. We can remove them later if it turns out that wasn't a good idea.

I have the Super Sonic plush. :) Will take photos of it later, along with some of my other plushies.

Most of the Great Eastern plushes are very good quality, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for plushes. GE also manufactured the Sonic hat included as a preorder bonus with Sonic Colors: http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-The-Hedgehog-Fleece-GE-2380/dp/B003OLUQII/

Did you know that GE also manufactures a similar Amy hat? http://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Hedgehog-Amy-Hair-Fleece/dp/B005WO2NI6/

I'd suggest throwing in the Generations soundtrack as a physical prize, as almost every song in it is amazing and it's a pretty sweet musical celebration of Sonic's entire 20-year history. :P
Sonic OSTs are always ridiculously expensive unless you get them right when they're released, since Sega never manufactures enough copies. A download prize would probably be more appropriate for this. Sega has published a few OSTs on iTunes, but Generations hasn't been published yet.

So the raffle and the charity aren't linked?
You will have to donate to the charity in order to enter the raffle, but the funding isn't linked.

A raffle would work well but items and shipping costs would have to be judged in advance in order to make a decent profit for charity.
I wasn't planning on using donations to fund the raffle.
