When you're gliding directly into a wall, how do you make it so that you're instantly climbing instead of halting for that split second? I never did know how to do that

Release A just before you would crash into the wall. Try it a bit to see just how much room you have to leave yourself.

I worked it out by accident a while back.

These days I can hit it about 50/50 - but I haven't played in months and have probably lost my timing.
