Re: Constitution

9th Amendment: Section V: Bots of the Chatroom
(Feel free to rewrite; these are just jotted ideas)

1. ChanBot - supplies certain Users with their powers, caters to the will of Rolken
2. CodeGirl - reports new records from the Site for Users to brag about, identifies Regular Users, runs #wheel-of-fortune, starts global thermonuclear war, caters to the will of SadisticMystic
3. GerbilEgg - attacks Users who attack it, looks for Users upon query, caters to the will of GerbilSoft (which explains a lot)
4. Eggbot - whatever it did.
5. GerbilSoft - I'd say genus' glossary definition works here. >_> Add "rickroll Users and report on rickrolls" in there somewhere.
Quote
GerbilSoft-The current channel bot, programmed to summarise news articles, turn everything into an anti sony/microsoft argument, create :P pyramids, report on the results of deal or no deal, report fictional system specs, talk about gentoo, make urmom jokes, and drum.

I will be highly amused if I make it into something.  Therefore, it will never happen.
(Though holding, for several weeks, the record percentage of questions on the chatroom may have some effect)

Juicy details from Mike

<Stef|Cgi> what is this new project you are working on [sic]
<yse> i [sic] actually haven't worked on it for a week+ heh
<genus> mike's [sic] working on a project?
<SDM> another constitution?
<genus> mike [sic] is -working- on a -project-?
<Sondow|Civ4> genus [sic] how did you not know
<genus> I didn't know easily [sic]
<genus> that's how [sic]
<genus> mike [sic] is -working- on a -project-? :o
<Taillow> Old news [sic]
<SonicAD> -mike- [sic] is working on a project?
<yse> i [sic] am. and the more thought i [sic] give it the less good it seems to be [sic]
<Stef|Cgi> anyway i [sic] gtg [sic]
<Stef|Cgi> adios yo [sic]
<-- Stef|Cgi has quit (Quit: This just isn't my day!)
<Rolken> mike [sic] is it sonic/amy fanfiction [sic]
<genus> well [sic] what is it?
<Rolken> because [sic] I told you that was a bad idea [sic]
<yse> fuck [sic]. ruined [sic]
<yse> though [sic] you know [sic]
<genus> I want to start a rival project [sic]
<yse> one [sic] of these days i should do a fanfic parody [sic]
<genus> to [sic] motivate you to suck less >:( [sic]
<genus> wait [sic] hold on [sic] how about
<-- PsyMar has quit (Ping timeout)
<genus> a COLLABORATION :o [sic]
<yse> hm [sic]
<yse> you cannot be trusted to keep my secrets.
<genus> no [sic] see, I'm totally a pro person [sic]
<genus> like [sic] I got up one day and decided
<genus> "I should be more awesome" [sic]
<yse> <_<
<genus> and [sic] then I stretched out my little finger [sic]
<genus> and [sic] there was more awesome [sic]
<genus> and [sic] they called it "more awesome" [sic]
<Sondow|Civ4> genus [sic] who do you think you are
<Sondow|Civ4> god?
<yse> anyway [sic] genus
<yse> if you want to start a rival project
<yse> i [sic] have the perfect title
<genus> well [sic] it -is- modeled after the creation myth of Genesis [sic]
<yse> The Misadventures of a Linksys Router
<genus> make of that what you will [sic]
<genus> well [sic] what's your thing?
<genus> I at least want to know what I'm competing with
<yse> it [sic] is a parody of a current event in the news [sic]
<genus> there [sic] are a few of these [sic]
<genus> I assume it involves a linksys router [sic]
<yse> though [sic] as with all my other parodies, i [sic] want to at least have some basis in fact [sic]
<yse> oh [sic] man [sic]
<genus> possibly [sic] the telecom immunity scandal in the us [sic]
<yse> i [sic] threw you off the scent so easily.
<genus> I'll fill 30 pages with "screw you mike" and call it a day if necessary [sic]
<genus> I am not kidding!
<yse> yeah [sic] and you'll be universally condemned for defacing the name of parody.
<genus> how [sic] about if I actually do that in chat
<genus> then have me say it
<genus> like <genus> screw you mike
<yse> er [sic]
<genus> over and over in chat [sic]
<yse> its [sic] not a fake chat ok [sic]
<genus> guffaw [sic]
<genus> GUFFAW [sic]
<genus> this [sic] involves tsc?
<genus> and it's a -narrative-?
<yse> nope [sic]!
<genus> GUFFAW [sic]
<genus> WHEEZE [sic]
<genus> are [sic] you serious [sic]
<yse> i [sic] told you it was in the news!
<yse> when [sic] was the last time TSC was in the news?
<yse> ...actually, on second thoughts [sic], there is serious fake chat adaptation potential here [sic]

You heard it here folks, it isn't a fake chat and has nothing to do with TSC. Also people make a ton of punctuation errors in chat.

I decided that I'll do something less involved-either taking an article and replacing the key players of the event with the nicks of tsc'ers for potential hilarity, or 'grading' posts as an English teacher would. -THIS- IS ART.

Edit: I forgot to close the bold tags. But I like it better this way, it hurts your eyes and makes important details indistinguishable from unimportant details.

I HOPE YOU DO

Who the hell corrects the spelling/grammar in IRC logs?  We massacre the language in online chats, get over it >_>

Can't you see? genus does. (personally, I wouldn't bother with IRC logs, but I love to annoy my sister's friends by correcting them on AIM, which means almost everything they say).

Correct use of punctuation is for other chatrooms.

EDIT: Also, I am unsure as to whether you can call it incorrect when a handle that begins lowercase is begun as such at the beginning of a sentence. Sure, sentences should start with upper case, as should proper nouns, but when a proper noun is purposefully defined as all lower case, I always figured the rule about capitalizing proper nouns was down to always recreating them in an identical way. If you were to use "Mike" you could be talking about any of us, "mike" is specific. "mike89" moreso.
