Doesn't all of us bribing mike89 before the Top Tens come out count as a site poll of the best players? Granted, the latest list was a bit weird what with the videos, but generally it's a great list that evaluates everything from immediate impact to long-term, specialty players to all-around.

Agreed, well said point, although I still think it should be done by year to reflect changes in stat weights and other things that occured over the years. Regarding the top 10, I think it should be divided into best 2D, 3D and overall.

Indeedy, and a "Who's done best in the last six months" chart is, IMO, fairer than a rookie award. No reason you can't have both, of course.

Here's a wacky idea: have a TSC Awards 2006 topic with voting - categories like best 3D player in 06, best 2D, best newbie etc. Except people have to be nominated for categories by OTHER MEMBERS, rather than by one person or by themselves, and reasons must be given. Oh and we could have fun ones like biggest noob (still pccorby d'you reckon?), worst necromancer, most homicidal (naming no names on this one >_>)

Well, I can think of a nominee for best 3D player in '06, and that'd be yoshifan. True, he doesn't have SADX, but still, he owns at Shadow, SA2B, and Heroes (even though he has all but 3 times submitted, the ones he has submitted are mostly awesome).

I'll try out for 2007 :P
I only really started to submit a lot just at the end of December. Even lately I haven't been submitting all the records I get. And the only thing I've really worked on a lot was Sonic Heroes best times and extra times (not dark though). I've barely gotten to Sonic Riders, Some TAing in SA1, some TAing in SA2, dont like shadow, and haven't even started Sonic Rush.
