I thought ring attack was for ring missions only. Otherwise, that's absurd.

But that's weird because I'm pretty sure there isn't a ring mission for every course.

But thinking about it, for those that there are it might still be easy to get 100 rings. Ring missions might not be a good idea...

Oh ok, so Ring Attack rules are time attack with ring attack boxes set to off.

Sorry, eggFl, only FREE RACE is allowed. At least, that's what I think is fair - better competition.
I'm sorry I didn't clear this up at the start but here's all rules:

Rings:
-Must be done in Free Race.
-You are not allowed to use the Brake button at all.
-The following Gear cannot be used: The Crazy, Chaos Emerald, Gambler
-All CPU Players must fill the remaining slots.
-Settings should be left to their defaults except the following: Announce [Your Choice, On or Off], and Item [MUST be OFF].

Tag Mode:
-All CPU Players must fill the remaining slots.
-Settings should be left to their defaults [Total Laps: 3, Air Pit: On]
-Must come in 1st place for your sub to count.

Mission Mode:
-In all missions, remember you must complete it by reaching the goal for your sub to count.

Survival Battle:
-All CPU Players must fill the remaining slots.
-Settings should be left to their defaults [Time Limit: 15, Item: On]

Survival Race:
-All CPU Players must fill the remaining slots.
-Settings should be left to their defaults [Time Limit: 15, Points: 5, Item: On]

Sorry about that before. I'm making new charts to accomodate some of my records as well as the records for Missions. As it stands, only Missions involving Points/Tricks, Attacks, Time, or Air will be included. Should we not include Tricks/Points or Air?

Also, please bare with me, those with pending subs.

Okay... well don't give up on me just yet. I'm sure there's something we can work out. What do you propose we do to make this a more solid competition? I still think there's quite some potential here. I noticed that thing about "running around" so maybe... we should put Air Lost=Retire, rule? That would solve some problems, eh?

Hey, eggFL. I think you're right about the Trick Missions so I've decided to scrap that as well.
EDIT:
Air Tank-related missions also scrapped. Regarding Ring-related missions, should they go into a "Rings" Division? Should we still do it or is it too easy to get 100?

Gah, Survival Race is so ... argh! Tag mode was less annoying but it felt pointless nonetheless.  Both of these modes feel really cheesy. I think I see how Survival Race is done but it's really tricky. But in Tag mode it feels like it comes down to chance, I mean I can't even /race/ since I can only go as fast as my partner, can't even do much to win much less finish with a good time.

Survival Battle is also obnoxious because the hit detection is so stubborn and selective, but I can't say it doesn't qualify for a competition. *sigh* Btw, in the survival levels I am wondering: WHY does the clock make my time worse after the race is over?

Anyway this is not helping my dwindling interest in this game.

damn, I did a bunch of bonus and emerald challenges in Heroes and forgot to record them while doing other improvements.  also bonus stage 4 is really hard to get over 300 links, at one point the tube will make you go up even when you dont want to.

In regards to the extra Chaotix score attack suggestions, it was me who first commented on it in this thread. Be sure to update some of my new Shadow ring scores. (I have all stage 3's done, all stage 4's except Mad Mad Matrix, all stage 5's except The ARK, and all stage 6's except Black Comet and Final Haunt

Hey everyone. Sorry I haven't posted lately and I haven't worked on the charts lately, either, especially since my PC time is very limited these days.

Anyway, Groudon199, both yours and magnum12's scores are my priority at the moment. Once I fix this whole "first post" thing, I'll get to work on 'em.

Since the maximum characters allowed for a message is 20,000, I've had to cut some things out of the post, as you will see shortly once I update it. The Yellow Color indicating who's score is the best is removed, as is the "Support List" and the "Outstanding Issues".

Both will appear, now, in my second post on the topic and you will also see these shortly.

Today, I was thinking about the topic and something SJacky said in the past triggered something in my mind.

SJ, I'm willing to help you, if you like, propose Super Hard Mode scores for Heroes. After replaying it, I realize it would make for satisfactory competition, however, it must be noted that no character/team, time, or ring bonuses will count towards your final score since no Final Display is shown where the bonuses are awarded so you'll need to remember your score right before you cross the Goal Gate. Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if Rolken didn't go for this, or any other admin for that matter, because of this whole bonus disabling, but, we gotta try I guess.

On that same note, I thought of having Ring Divisions for SH Mode also. It wouldn't be hard to execute, and I have some Ring Subs. and Score Subs. for stages up until G Metropolis for now.

Well, I'll edit this post later if I need to but I ened to get to work, for now. But for now, feedback, anyone?

but here's the problem if SHM gets put through.  For those that are serious about scores or rings, theres no way of going to a stage you want to dominate and have to go through the stages until you get to it.  Also the matter of lives being a pain in the ass  since everytime you start a SHM run, you start at 3 lives always. 

People would have to rack up lives for 1 stage and stay there until they are satisfied with what they have since you will never go into the goal ring unless you were done.  This and Expert mode from Shadow are unlikely to go through and be made official, but if they do, thats the kind of stuff that people would have to go through if they want it badly enough.

I want to pull myself from this idea as I just tossed it out, so I hope nothing else comes from this unless others want it too.  I do still want 2 categories for some of the Chaotix stage though.

Yes, what was that suggestion all about - Chaotix missions? Gimme more specs on what you wanted to be proposed and yeah, I kinda realized that myself about S.H.M when I was playing it.
