The rules for Sonic 1 (2013) and Sonic 2 (2013) have been updated to specify that earning credit twice for a single ring is prohibited, whether or not Sonic and Tails are flying together. This meets the intent of the original rule which was aimed at preventing rings from being counted twice when collected. Flying together is still prohibited as there was not enough support to change this rule which would affect the number of rings that could be collected on some levels. Manipulating Tails to fly without Sonic is still allowed.

I would like to have my username shortened from "Midnight Rambler" to just "Rambler."

General Sonic / New faster route

Route 99 Sonic Advance 3, just found a new route. It's KirbyMastah's route for Sonic and Tails, it's really good and theres a part i think i can shave seconds off i just have to master the very 2nd jump, you have to jump off a sweet spot, if you don't you add a whole second or two to the run...

General Sonic / I wanna do speedruns :)

I want to start doing speedruns and submitting them to TSC, I have a sub 50 Sonic Advance 3 Route 99 speedrun (No TAS),I only used a video guide once, it was mostly trial and error, I thought Sonic and Cream was the godspeed route (sub 1min) but then I learned a faster one for Sonic and Tails (Sub 40 done right)

There's one problem... I lost the saves, including the non aggression ending save :(, I don't have screenshots of my time I gave raw taken photos from my phone, I have to keep improving tho, I wanna do more speedruns too but I don't have access to any games that aren't on Game Gear, 32x, CD, Genesis Master System, GBA and uhhh basically easy to run stuff on a bad computer

My username comes from the fan given name of Potential Unleashed Gohan from Dragon Ball Z, back when I was a kid he was my favorite character (Now it's Yamcha), my alias soon transformed into Mystic in 2017, it hasn't changed since

I think the topic of allowing the decompilation has not been brought up since it was released. If we want to allow it, we may want to establish rules for use. The decompilation is allowed on speedrun.com and may increase participation here. I do not know of a reason not to allow it.
