But if it takes you back to CC2 then how do you reach the Goal Ring?

Hey, I'm so bored I'm making a Sonic fangame in Game Maker.

Wait... that's not because of boredom...

But anyways, good luck with it. I for one loved Lego when I was younger. Which wans't long ago.

But why does it warp you to CC1, when you were on CC2 before?

Checked again, not there. I have 3-button controllers so maybe you're right about that. Perhaps it's something to do with those controllers, like turbo or something perhaps?

x = y
x^2 = xy
x^2 - y^2 = xy - y^2
(x+y) (x-y) = y (x-y)
x + y = y
2y = y
2 = 1
My old Maths teacher showed us that, and I've been trying for ages to remember it. Thing is, technically that proof doesn't work because here:

(x+y) (x-y) = y (x-y)
x + y = y

You are dividing by 0 (x = y, ergo x - y = 0) so it's WRONG! Denied  :ph34r:

Although, that 0.999... = 1 proof doesn't need to be that complicated.

Let r = 0.999...
10r = 9.999...
9r = 10r - r = 9.999... - 0.999... = 9
r = 9r / 9 = 1

Booshed!

And... what is this -4^2 = -16 thing? HOW DOES THAT WORK?

I think I may have an idea of what it might be...

...but I won't say, seeing as you don't want it as public knowledge  :P

Incidentally I was wondering about this when I decided to make up the milliseconds... eheh... >_<;

Okay, I'll get to that soonish... meaning today or tomorrow.

But seriously... how did you know? I'm scared  :ph34r:

:huh: There isn't a 'Mode' button on my MegaDrive controller...

But I noticed the American versions are faster... I say haha to them.   :D

Heh, I have a suspicion Rolken put this topic here not as something serious... especially seeing as there's been no direct contact with me about it.

And the milliseconds... don't really matter, do they?

But still... how did you know??  :blink:

Okay, I guess I should confess... seeing this topic kinda made me shocked.

When I went to update some SA2:B times, I had to write down all my times, then go on the computer and upload them. Being new to TSC, I didn't know they asked for milliseconds on the times. So I had only written down minutes and seconds. I also didn't think it would matter that much if I just made up random millisecond times.

If you want take off my SA2:B times and I'll re submit them.

Also, those really big times are on my first try, I haven't done much time attacking on any Sonic game.

*scurries off in shame*

EDIT: Also... I haven't changed my times since I submitted them... how did you know I made up the times? Unless I told someone and forgot that I told them.  :huh:

General Sonic / What system do you normally play sonic games on?

Gamecube. Speaking of which, I need to pick up SADX somewhere.

After Gamecube, it's GBA, then PC. But it varies.

I was the one who put the game up in the first place, so needless to say I would know exactly when the new game was open for submissions.

And I don't see any of your times on the KC chart.
I uploaded times for Isolated Island 1 and 2. Not much I know. I kinda saw the "32X" thing at the top and thought "OMG I can do that!" and went and played. I decided to start with Isolated Island. Got bored quickly though. And my times were rubbishness. Ah well, wasn't really trying.

Dammit... you didn't have to bring attention to Chaotix... I was happy updating my one or two happily average times to get some first places...

BUT THEN this news thingy comes up and, while I used to be the only one updating times for it, Sadistic goes and gets some real time attack records.

I think a 3D remake, if done well, might work. With cutscenes and all... but very very very few cutscenes. Probably not much more than the 2D games already have.

And have remixed music... I want to see them take the original Sonic theme tune, and make it into "Sonic's Theme" for a remake... with lyrics and stuff... and they could do the same for Knuckles... hehe.  :ph34r:

Okay... well... for fear of being a dummie (which I probably am, so)...

I get a message from Eggman, "RAM cartridge is not initialized." What do I do? I tried changing the SRAM size in the options menu but to no avail.

Also, neither of those sites work. The first one tells me the page cannot be found, and if I just use the domain address it crashes my browser. The second one is down because their host owes the server money.

What to do?

Biolizard. The 2nd Mech battle in SA2 gave me trouble the first time, losing about 20 times. Once I beat it, I was able to defeat it whenever I wanted with no difficulty.
Word to that. Now I just go "OMG YOU ARE EGGMAN, YOU ARE DEAD."

Or something like that.

Methinks I'll vote Biolizard... t'others were easy...

Wow... I hadn't thought of getting a Sonic CD rom >.< Idiot me.

That site says that the PAL release was before US? That's odd. And also that the US release had different music... does that mean the PAL one has the Japanese music?

In which case, why not use that for your JP soundtrack needs?

*downloading PAL Sonic CD ISO*

Oh whoops... only just read you saying about 50fps...

I thought it was just that we had 50Hz refresh rate instead of 60? Or does that mean exactly the same thing?

Idiot me.

« on: February 16, 2004, 10:47:32 am »
Sonic 1. My sister got it an a Mega Drive for her 11th Birthday, when I was 4. Then, next year for my birthday I got Sonic 2, so I guess you could say that was my first one. If you wanted to be pedantic.

Hehe, I had a 'green' ranking for my Chaotix overall time before I posted that.

That spiderweb, I found a 'trick' I guess. You gotta be good at controlling jumps though.

If you don't jump at all, you'll go from one side to the opposite side. So, to get to the one up and two torches, go on the rail nearest it (on the left as you enter) and jump over every turn off. You have to jump without pressing a direction, then press forward to go over the turn off. Then, you can just ride it easy to get to the switch and torches. Then do the same to get to the exit.

33:48:89

No joke.

33:48:89

Yes, more than half an hour, not counting deaths and retries.

Y'see, what happened was... I spent a good 3 to 5 minutes in that long corridor... egads I hated that. Then, I missed the two torches by the switch near the big spider web. So I ended up back at the start, not remembering that the last checkpoint was before that switch. So I went through most of the level again before I found them, trying to put out candles and idiot stuff like that.

Methinks I'll have to try that again in Challenge mode... 33:48:89.... not right...

As I recall from the GameFAQs board someone mentioned that use of Team Dark's team blast lets you get a crazy low time for their Egg Emperor.

I think in your Sonic Heroes database you should have a Super Hard Mode division. Although less people are likely to record their times for that as there's no challenge/level select for it.

Ah well, just a suggestion.
