Before I start I want to say, sorry if I offend you.

Anyway like SonicBoom I wanted to wait to post in here and I think now is a good time.
I think the biggest problem in my opinion is that the admins aren't that active anymore. Of course they have better things to do but I haven't seen any admin post in this which is for me a sign that they don't care anymore. Also with that a lot of things are outdated on tsc. These two things are kind of a bad look on the outside. I mean why should someone join a site where the admins don't look active? Nor the forum in itself is active a lot of people don't post in the forum which I find a shame because from older threads the people who were on the site back then posted quite a lot.
What I think needs to change is the staff, some new admins aswell as more global moderators that are willing to look after the forum and do general mod stuff on the site aswell. Aswell as some site designers that could help update the site.
In general I do think a site revamp would help as the site looks quite old fashioned.
Also updating/revamping the site might spark some motivation for old members to come back as in my opinion the site not being updated is quite demotivating to stay checking on the site.

TSC Race Night / Re: Just to say...
« on: August 27, 2014, 06:19:28 am »
Well, I'll miss these race nights. I did enjoy racing in them (also watching them) a lot. I met quite a lot of awesome people through it too. I also would like to thank Flying Fox and Hyper for organizing them over the pstt 2 years. It was a lot of fun (well at least for me) :)

Competition Central / Re: Record Ranking Project
« on: July 27, 2014, 07:20:25 pm »
I'll pick a record from the 4 games I'm most familiar with.

SADX: Red Mountain - Sonic 49.45 by Gamepro011
Well gpro was the only one, as far as I know, that subbed 50 seconds on this stage. He also beat an old TAS of the stage.

Sonic Heroes: Grand Metropolis - Team Sonic 2:23:58 by Gamepro011

Well I saw gpro doing attempts for this stage live for a very long time. I'm not sure wether it was the current record or a previous but nonetheless he put a lot of effort into this one, this is also my favourite stage.

Sonic 06: Flame Core - Silver 2'50"619 by Otonyshi

I love all of the tricks he used in this run, even if it drained a lot of his attempts I like the final run he got and especially the final trick. He also beat the second place by 2 minutes.

Sonic Colours DS: Aquarium Park Mission 2 - Sonic  53185 by InferSaime

This record took me a lot of tries to get it back multipe times as it went between me and Diamond. I also love how far the score has come from 31k to 53k that's quite a lot.

That's it for now.

I'm going to update my list:

1. Sonic Riders
2. Sonic Colours Wii
3. Sonic Heroes
4. Sonic Adventure DX
5. Sonic Colours DS
6. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games DS
7. Sonic CD 2011
8. Sonic and the Black Knight
9. Sonic 4 Episode 1
10. Sonic Generations
11. Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity
12. Sonic 4 Episode 2 (including episode metal)
13. Mario & Sonic at the 2012 London olympic games wii
14. Sonic Unleashed PS3
15. Sonic 06
16. Sonic Lost World WiiU
17. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
18. Sonic R
19. Sonic Rush Adventure
20. Sonic Rush

Only did till 20 otherwise it would be too long and wouldn't care that much at the lower ones.

I vote for 1 in 2D and 3 3D

First, thanks to replying my post.
But, this isn't really a cheat, it's just for guys who like me cannot have 99 lives on GameCube and they only have 4 lives, It's much harder to make a IL that guys who have 99 lives and restart when they want without wating every 4 lives :(
And I use GC so if someone use GC that's ok :p

The way you use that code is by using Action Replay which is a cheating device just like Gameshark codes. And there's an easy way, well there are multipe ways, to get 99 lives.

42
I like these changes. I would add though (maybe I read this wrong) is for filtering versions. I would make it so you can chose multipe versions to be shown. For example that you could filter out all DC stats in sadx and only see GCN/PC/PS3/360 stats.

News and Updates / Re: New rules regarding emulators

We're not trying to stop "fake" or unobtainable stats here (Though that is always nice to do so). We're trying to catch goofs with inaccurate emulation (in the case of Wii), and prevent TASing in many forms (on the Genesis-era games).

Ok if you're trying that, then you could trust some emus like VBA.I'm most familiar with that emu out of any so I take that as an example. From my experience it is quite accurate, unlike dolphin. So my suggestion is doing this rule case-by-case, which don has said many times already. Imo Dolphin and ds emus and any emus that use a lot of processing power and that you need to a good computer for or are just inaccurate to begin with. Should be banned from competition which in the case of dolphin has been shown that it's inaccurate. And I guess for genesis era you could  state an emu that doesn't have TAS abilities. This way the casual competitor who gets a lot of greens or yellows doesn't have to bother to provide a video and can still use an emu.

having time sleeping on it I wanted to make a suggestion that we only make video mandatory when a WR is achieved? ( or maybe top 3 or top 5)

I think this would protect the casuals while also protecting the hardcore competitors, and also making the window of people it will actually affect drastically smaller?

Now this in my opinion is a really good idea, but I would make it if a red stat is achieved. As that would mean it's more accurate I guess, I mean if you go by top 5 for example then it wouldn't be fair if you get like 5th out of 20(here you beat like 75% of the players) you do need to provide proof while if you get 6th out of 100(here you beat like 94% of the players) you don't. While with red stats it's immediatly the top 20%

Competition Central / TSC Most Leaderships List
« on: March 26, 2014, 04:26:40 pm »
A week or 2 ago I made a list of who has the most leaderships. Because I was wondering how many people have and who has the most. Later on I also made 3 other lists: Most untied leaderships, most 0p leaderships and most untied 0p leaderships.
The lists don't include freestyle.
I decided to make a topic so that others could see the lists too. Although some people already saw them. But anyway here's the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Lo-2IQgjOTflP193qLBU1oVoUki95fKIN8yUSCIVHn0/edit?usp=sharing

Last time updated: 19th February 2019 (Note Leaderships/awards obtained through 6th February to 8th February may have not been updated on this doc.)

Also if you see any mistakes, please let me know.

News and Updates / Re: Sonic's future goes BOOM and site shenanigans
« on: February 07, 2014, 11:51:14 am »
All right Rafael I first want to reply to your post.
1. You're right that nintendo is losing money on the WiiU but I'm fairly sure that MK8 and smash bros, that are coming out this year, are going to boost the sales. And the 3DS is actually doing pretty well so it's a good choice to put the game on those systems imo.
2. You're basically basing a book on it's cover(I hope I got this expression right) people are going to need to get used to these designs. These designs shouldn't be a reason for saying the game will be bad.
3. They're not but I don't think that's a bad thing since ex-Naughty Dog devs are working on it. And I'm sure a lot of people agree with that Naughty Dog games are really good.
4. Just wait.
5. Please explain how this is a bad thing?
6. Where did you read that Amy isn't liked by the fanbase?

Tbh I was suprised and sad when I read that you stepped down, Thorn. I do have to agree that there been a lot of insults but I think it's because a lot of people around tsc are frustrated and are expressing them on the other users (yes I do this sometimes >_>). Well what I would like to see change is that there gets to be more use out of the twitter and facebook of tsc.

50
I geuss I could say my opinion on this. I'm neutral about this at one side banning the emulators is a good thing but by doing that you have all those that are done on those emulators already so it seems kinda pointless to me. And some people might not want to compete anymore if they can't compete on a specific emulator or no emulator at all.
Also if you're going to be ban some emulators wouldn't it be better to ban every emulator? It just seems a bit stupid to only ban some specific ones where the TAS features are easily available.

But if I would have to choice between banning or not banning them. I would vote for banning them.

Oh also why aren't Dolphin and other gamecube and DS emulators banned in the first place?

Excuse me from posting without permission. But I would like to ask why supersonic917 didn't submit some of his times on youtube and instead submitted a worse time than what he has? For example he submitted 56.33 submtted (http://www.soniccenter.org/members/supersonic917/sonic_colors_wii/times/aquarium_park_1/sonic) although on his youtube he has 53.49 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMbPAN735Vc). Again sorry for posting without permission.

TSC Race Night / Re: Race Night feedback for 2014!
« on: December 05, 2013, 07:09:45 am »
I see one big problem with that idea. People might want to join the second race and not the first. And considering that for Americans could have dinner at that time or for Europeans too late to join as it pretty much means it's after midnight or pretty close. I don't know with Australians though. If something like that is the case the 2nd race might have like 2 entrants. Of course doing them simultaneous doesn't help elp either. But what I suggest in having a 2nd race much earlier or later so it's on Sunday where it is during noon for the Europeans and evening for Australians as I believe race nights now are during the morning so having a 2nd race a lot earlier could make it easier for Australians to join. Then again a race later also makes it easier for them to join. But having a 2nd race would be a good idea depending on the time the race is.
