DarkAura, I'm not trying to make you do anything, but it may be easier to look on the internet for a list of adventure tour missions (and maybe quickly look at some YouTube videos to see the stat types) for M&S'10DS. I just thought it might save you some time. Anyway it's awesome that you're helping out with this stuff. Also I'm 14 today :P

Below are the missions. Some are fit for competition, some aren't. I've listed them all for reference nonetheless. Also, mission stats aren't tracked. However I do still recommend we include the missions that can be competed in in the competition, as they would be quite fun to compete in.

Missions (Knuckles)
  • Hammer Throw (throw three times, increasing your distance each time - we could rank the longest throw) (millimeter)
  • 400m (millisecond)
  • 10m Platform (centiscore)
  • Table Tennis (score - refer to the Table Tennis event)
  • Dream Basketball (perform 1 combo within 30 seconds - we could rank time left over) (millisecond)
  • Dream Boxing (second (time left over))

Missions (Bowser)
  • Fencing (parry 5 opponent attacks and win - we could do time left over) (second)
  • Hammer Throw (millimeter (total of all three throws))
  • 400m (millisecond)
  • Archery (score)
  • Dream Table Tennis (earn at least 20 points in a single rally - I suppose we could rank most points here) (score)
  • Dream Fencing (second (refer to event))

Missions (Vector)
  • 100m Freestyle (millisecond)

  • Dream Boxing (counter 5 times - we could do time left over) (second)
  • 100m (millisecond)

Missions (Amy)
  • Javelin Throw (millimeter)
  • Trampoline (centiscore)
  • Fencing (second)

  • Dream Long Jump (hit three opponents with items - as this event has no timer this mission is n/a for competition)
  • Dream Boxing (second)

Missions (Luigi)
  • 100m Freestyle (millisecond)
  • Triple Jump (millimeter)
  • Archery (hit black, red and blue rings in that specific order - I suppose we could do score)
  • Table Tennis (win five points using spin shots - I think this is n/a for competition, unless we do 5 (number of spin shots to win) minus rally's won by the opponent. So max would be 5)
  • Dream Basketball (score at least 15 points in 10 consecutive shots - we could rank total score)
  • Dream Race (millisecond)

Missions (Blaze)
  • Table Tennis (continue a rally for at least 10 hits - we could rank number of hits in the rally (higher = better))
  • Javelin Throw (throw 3 times, increasing your distance each time - we could rank longest throw (millimeter)
  • 10m Platform (perform a 20-step combo with command inputs - this is n/a for competition I think)
  • 100m (millisecond)
  • Dream Shooting (score)
  • Table Tennis (score)

Missions (Sonic)
  • 100m (millisecond)
  • Triple Jump (millimeter)
  • 400m Hurdles (millisecond)
  • Dream Boxing (perform a successful sway 9 times - we could rank time left over) (second)
  • Dream Fencing (knock your opponent out of the ring 3 times to win the match - again, we could rank time left over) (second)

  • Trampoline (achieve seven GOOD ratings in your performance - this is n/a for competition I think - you either beat the mission with all 7 goods or not)
  • Triple Jump (achieve a GREAT rating in all three jumps - we could rank total distance of all three jumps) (millimeter)
  • Dream Table Tennis (successfully return three consecutive special shots - again, pointless...)
  • Dream Shooting (shoot down only the balloons marked with Daisy's flower symbol - you either get max points or you lose the mission, so this one is again pointless. There's no timer or anything on these n/a missions)
  • 100m Freestyle (millisecond)

Missions (Shadow)
  • 100m (millisecond)
  • Javelin Throw (throw 3 times in a row for a total of at least 220m - refer to Bowser's mission) (millimeter)
  • Cycling (collect all of the stamina - we could rank time) (millisecond)
  • Dream Fencing (second)
  • Dream Race (millisecond)
  • Dream Shooting (score)

Missions (Yoshi)
  • 10m Platform (enter the water feet-first! Aim for an entry angle of around 170 to 180 degrees - we could rank degrees (so 180 would be max)
  • Table Tennis (score)
  • Trampoline (enter 32 or more performance commands - we could rank number of followed performance commands)
  • Dream Basketball (make five consecutive successful shots - this would be pointless, you either get 5 points or lose the mission, everyone would be tied 1st)
  • Dream Canoe (gather 20 coins within 60 seconds - we could rank time left over) (second)
  • 400m Hurdles (millisecond)

Missions (Peach)
  • Vault (nail a perfect landing - no score or timer, n/a for competition)
  • Long Jump (millimeter)
  • 10m Platform (achieve a 10 combo chain or better - we could maybe rank number of combos in the chain)
  • Fencing (second)
  • Dream Shooting (achieve 10 consecutive hits - there is no score count or timer in this mission, so I think this is n/a for competition)
  • Dream Table Tennis (score)

Missions (Tails)
  • Shooting (don't miss even once - I think this is n/a for competition, as you either get max or lose)
  • Vault (don't make any mistakes on your four performance command inputs - no score or timer, so an n/a mission)
  • Trampoline (earn GOOD ratings 8 times in your performance - a max or lose mission again (as you have to input all commands to win), n/a)
  • Archery (hit the center of the target to earn 10 points under strong wind conditions - again, this is max or lose... fourth n/a mission in a row...)
  • Dream Race (millisecond)
  • Dream Canoe (coins)

Missions (Waluigi)
  • 400m Hurdles (millisecond)
  • Shooting (shoot all the blue targets only - a max or lose, n/a)

Anyway, I think that's about it for this game. Tomorrow is my birthday (:D) but I will post the events and stat types for M&S10DS by the end of the week. I see you (GerbilSoft) own the three Wii M&S games, and darkstarblaze (DarkAura) will hopefully be helping with 2012(3DS) and the missions for M&S10DS. So I guess we're sorted for now.

EDIT: Scratched out the line about posting for M&S10DS, looks like it's already been done (less work for me :D). Anyway good luck with the charts.

Like HyperSonic7701 said, it would be essentially impossible to make sure people don't use the tricks, but enforcing these rules would be better than not enforcing them at all, as honest players would (hopefully) stick to them. That is, if the majority of members share the same views as I do.

I definitely vote -no- to using a worn controller that gives the player an advantage, because as bertin has pointed out it's pretty much the same as using a modded game controller. Bash me if you will, but I also believe that spoon, pencil and rubber band tricks should also be banned from the competition, as the player is using an external item to again give them a gameplay advantage, items that are not part of the game controller. I know this sounds daft, but a player with a spoon, rubber band or pencil can have the upper hand on a player who doesn't. Using one's fingernail is a debatable issue, but (here goes...) I think this should also be banned as (this sounds stupid but) players with longer fingernails have an advantage over players without. It's not a part of the game controller, and, in my opinion, should thereby be made illegal. As you can see I have quite strong and strict opinions on the issue, but I think the competition should be made as fair to all the competitors as possible, and that means eradicating these sorts of allowances that give players the upper hand on each other. These are just my personal opinions on the matter.

I typed those exact words into the Google search bar (without the apostrophes), and each of the ten results was relevant (with Sonic Retro being the second result- so close... >_<).
