Okay, thanks for the clarification, yoshi. ^_^ I wouldn't know that, anyways >_> Well, I hope that they patch the code soon, or generate a new code that would cause it to stop as the transition goes on(if that's possible) I'd love to see that these charts see the light of day in their finalized forms, I love this game ^_^

I'd like to have questioning over whether or not a rule should be implemented on the glitch shown in the first youtube link. Considering that you could stop the timer and get an insane time, should this be allowed?
Arguement[Against Rule Implementing]: It's a glitch, and many glitches are done to improve the initial Time Attack record to get the fastest time for that specific level. Think about SA2, with the Cannon's Core Time Stop glitches. This is abusing the game's Timer-Stopping function, and a similar event happens here.
I cannot think of a valid arguement for rule implementing, as all of my arguements for it are completely opinionated and have little to no logic backing it up.
Note: Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this type of post(can't think of proper wording :/), I am relatively new to the forums. Advice would be nice as to if this is correct to post this here, or take it up with a Higher-Up/Leaderboard Disputes. Please and thanks(totally freakin' off topic; I suck at forum-posting, lol)

While speedrunning a few stars, I realized that when you play “Footrace with Koopa the Quick” (Bob-omb Battlefield, star 2) and you activate the timer from starting the race, the star timer is replaced by the race timer. After you finish the race, the race timer stops but the star timer does not appear again. I assume the same problem occurs in “Rematch with Koopa the Quick” (Tiny-Huge Island, star 3) and the two “Princess’ Secret Slide” charts. Unless there is an updated code that fixes this problem, I think the best thing to do is to move these charts to a new group called “Races”, and just use the time from race timers (with just one “Princess’ Secret Slide” chart).
I agree with this. Races would seem to be better than TA, seeing as what he said pretty much makes sense, and would allow me to compete in categories other than Coin Attack(which I despise to a certain degree) because I don't have a GS for my N64, and cannot run an emulator on my CPU. I'm curious as to how far this game will go, competition-wise(100 players in one year, maybe? A VERY popular game, but I think I overestimated it by too much)

I'm glad that your here, THC98! ^_^ I always like bringing "fresh meat" to SADX, and TSC. You never know who'll become a new Championship.

Thanks werster! Your vids definitely help in SADX, btw. Got me 2 records very recently(and one off by 0.01 seconds).

Since I neglected to start a topic to introduce myself, I'll do so know(since I'm only really interested in competing, I procrastinated >_>). So, I'm Gamepro011, the Infamous Long Comment Guy on Youtube. I love Sonic as much as anyone else here, and it shows in a lot of my stats(besides Sonic Colors :/) So, anyway, here's my topic that is 5 months late, just the way I like 'em, procrastinated XD
Also, feel free to check out my youtube channel, if you think that I'm Bsing on any of my SADX stats. Newer records are being postponed, due to audio lag and such(who likes vids with audio lag?). If you would like to see confirmation on some of my stats, you can reply to this topic, and I'll work on getting it vidded(if you mind the horrible audio lag). ^_^

Same thing happened to me, only the spider started screaming from being choked to death by the noxious gases emitted from my anus.
Pretty much, I'm doing great ^_^

I have a suggestion for the Bowser Charts. Why don't you make the main part of the course one time stat available for submission, and Bowser a Boss stat(for all three of Bowser's levels, of course)? Since the timer gets reset, it makes sense, I think.

Competition Central / Re: Skipping the Door in Lost World
« on: July 01, 2011, 09:22:37 pm »
Totally[Edit:not] off topic, but there isn't any way into Red Mountain without the Ancient Light. I've tried numerous times and failed every time. The only way to get to Red Mountain is to destroy the monkey in the cage. Unless you can figure out a way to do that without the Ancient Light, it isn't possible. If you could, we could skip the Light Dash copletely, as it is possible to get through the rest of the game without it, and would make Time Attack in Sky Deck so much easier XD

There isn't a sure-fire way to skip the door on your first try, except gaining speed using the Jump Dash and ledge, then Spin Dash towards the corner, but you must adjust the Camera to do it[even in Free Camera]. I don't think that any of us, whether it is Crydio, Jawzun, or myself, can do it on our first try. Just gather a lot of lives, finish a level, then do Lost World.

Easy. Make sure that you set both camera buttons on your controller and hold them both. The camera will stay behind you. That would be the L and R buttons on the GC controller, and Left Trigger and Right Trigger on the 360 version. Probably the L2 and R2 buttons on the PS3 controller, but I'm not sure

I can't download the demo[child account BS], but it isn't worth one level. I'll wait until Christmas ^_^ Also, I wish that Classic and Modern Sonic had multiple Acts on their stages. But we can't get everything, it already is good enough. I just can't wait for the release.

Wish list: Chao Garden[most likely not, but would be interesting?]
SADX Emerald Coast?
SA2 Final Rush?
SA2 Metal Harbor[please be in here, fav level]?
SG Green Hill Zone[lol jk]?
Stuff that only partially pertains to the topic:
The fat man in the red suit better bring these to me, or I'll bust down his door yelling "The PINGAS is a lie!"
Sorry about that. Christmas/Eggman joke. Someone had to XD

Rules Revisions / Re: Sonic & Knuckles: Doomsday Rings Chart
« on: June 16, 2011, 10:38:30 pm »
Well, if we don't, what changes? If we do, RA will become a little more variable when it comes to championships in Sonic & Knuckles. I like it, it brings a new challenge, and there have been harder RA's[I think], so I say: HELL YEAH! Bring on the depletion of rings! ^_^

I want to think more optimistically(I know about the pessimist being an optimist's realist thing), going by the logic of the newer games, while being much shorter than the previous ones, have been getting better since Sonic '06, so we may have another great game on our hands. Let's hope that it isn't too short, though. Although, I'm starting to believe that I'm the only person looking for the brighter possibilities. :( Oh well, stuff happens.

I think this may be the greatest discovery since(insert the best discovery here)!!!!!!! Hopefully this time SA1 and SA2 may have an equal. If this happens... the epicness of Sonic will be apparent again(to other gamers, that is[I hope]) ^_^
