Paragod's recent M1 Crazy Gadget video does not seem to work.

Edit;  Ah nvm, there are 2 of them.  You can all stop the mad rush to answer now.  Though still might to remove the redundant dead link when your cleaning house next.

You planning to record all these records as you go?  As that would be great.  That Final Rush one you did was a great watch.

Hay Guyz.  You lucky lucky people just so happen to have a topic that gas been revived by a necro-post, be perfectly timed with the fact that I have just re-remembered that this tread exists, and that in the trip to my local pub tonight I drank enough to again consider the Sonic ploy 'serious business.'  (Remember me? I am the guy who took the topic seriously! Look at page 1 or something!)

Don't know why I'm doing this....

I thought...

So after Chaos has his tantrum two sets of 7.  Negative energy set in the special stages, positive energy set at the alter on Angel Island.  Make up a reason for them both to regain their colour and hexagon shape as seen in games 1 2 and 3.

*Also interesting.  Never thought of the shape connection.  I'm intrigued as to what you would say about S3D though.

Well it was released twice, once on Genesis, where as SM showed without a shadow of a doubt there were no emeralds, only Cough Drops.  From what I know of the later release however, (never owned a Saturn) the Cough Drops were replaced with 'current day shaped' Emeralds.  (Along side more 'Canon like' Sonic 2/Heroes Special stages.  Though it is along time since I glanced at YouTube videos showing what this retcon was like so take what I say with a pinch of salt.)

*SPOILER
...
The Babylon Rogues were confirmed in Zero Gravity to actually be aliens.  Don't know what this would change.  But, apparently, quite a few aliens *coughblackcougharmscough* already know about the emeralds.

News to me, still need to play it.  Will do in a month or so when I am back home for summer.  That comment inspires me ro do so actually.  Makes it seem like there is a recton to make Black Doom not come out of no where.

Note; When being realistic I realize it will create more of the plot holes I oh so love rather than fill them in.

I think today's Chaos Emeralds are the Super Emeralds.

Well, in S3K Sonic /Tails/Knuckles could use the Super Emeralds alone and they were in touch with the Master Emerald shortly before.

If I am understanding that correctly you are saying that...

Hyper=Super/Chaos Emeralds+Master Emeralds.

'''

Spent about 5 min considering this...  (Which is 4 min several seconds more than Sonic Team)

At first would disagree, as the only thing I think I know about the master emerald is that when it comes down to it is that all the master Emerald is, is an off switch for the 7 Chaos emeralds.

You know like a positron and electron annihilate each other.
But Chaos E. and Master E. annihilate each other.

For those who did not do A-Level (Or American/worldwide equivalent) Physics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electron-positron_annihilation

Which I was going to say would suggest that adding Master E. to the mix would remove possibility of Super rather than enhancing it. (Hyper.)

And then agree P.P.A. with and say...

Dude, P.P.A., you're trying too hard.  That IS Hyper Sonic.  He just changed colors.

Course then I realized that that RL example (Electron/Positron.) can be described by  two physical things destroy each other, but produces energy.

Which is some what similar to Master E. Not destroying Chaos E. but sending them to the Special Zone.  And 'producing energy', is akin to Hyper rather than super.

As I can not think of an example where the Chaos/Super Emeralds were in the Master Emerald Shrine other than S3+K, (Sonic Advance 3 is close, but they were not in the shrine.) That would suggest why S3+K was the only game to have hyper.

There is chance you may be able to use that to explain why some times the Chaos emeralds go to the Special Stage, and Some times just scatter around the world, (well... Station Square.) but I really am not able to think that hard right now... 'nother double vodka anyone?

Paused you made a great point in the Blaze topic to do with Emerald coexistance: Time travel.

You know at this point I was going to say 'see ya, I'm going to necro post that Blaze topic I posted in.'  Damn. My post there god knows how many months ago was the last post in the thread.  You call yourselves Sonic Fans? For Shame people...  For shame.

I thought...

1 set of (Current day design) Emeralds pre Chaos rampage in Tikals time.

Chaos absorbs negative power in said rampage, leaves behind one set of gray emeralds (just like in the Super Sonic story in adventure.)  Tikal does her poetry thing, Master absorbs Chaos, and in so doing causes the negative power of the emeralds to 'Chaos Control' in to the special stages.

So after Chaos has his tantrum two sets of 7.  Negative energy set in the special stages, positive energy set at the alter on Angel Island.  Make up a reason for them both to regain their colour and hexagon shape as seen in games 1 2 and 3.

'Positive' emeralds sit on Angel island for a milenia or so.    The ancestors of Knux get somewhat attatched to their gems.

The negative set travels through the special stages and go on lots of adventures, they learn to live, to love, and how to destroy most people who find them, including the people on Westside Island, South Island, the Gizoids creators, a bunch of birds that loved Skateboarding so much that they decided to make a magic carpet(Riders), and the like.

Eventually the negative set is found by a certain blue hedgehog whilst rolling about South Island.  And for one reason or another the 'Chaos Control' back to the special stage after changing the colour of a few Sunflowers.  Destroy the world, give Hedgehogs a hair dye, flower arranging, those emeralds can do it all.

Sonic gets all the negative emeralds again on Westside...  but turns Super.  This bit I admit is probs fanwanking, but Sonic turning Super with the Negative Emeralds effects the Positive ones.  The Emeralds Knux has, as stated by some Japanesse manual (3? or was it S+K?)explode.  I guess the energy was absorbed by the Master.  Eggman lands and says a wizard... I mean Sonic did it.

Sonic3 happens.  Knux does the most powerful move ever shown in a Sonic game and beats up a Super form.  He steals what he believes to be his set of Emeralds.  I presume the Negative set looks identical to the Positive set.

From there more fan wanking... Knux after stealing the Emeralds immediately witnesses something similar to the Sonic1 good ending.  The emeralds end up in the special stage again.

Sonic gets em back, cue Sonic3+K.  Sonic reunites the Positive, Negative and Master Emeralds.  This forces Sonics set to become the Modern day shape emeralds, but still grayed out just like, again, in Adventure.  More special stages release the positive emerald energy which was still in the master emerald from the ending of Sonic2, into the now standard Chaos, (but at the time Super) Emeralds.

1 set of Emeralds again.

Course there is alot of fan wanking to be done to clear little things up.  Like the 6 emeralds in the first game thing.  Geralds Journal in 'Battle' claims he found an emerald somewhere.  One could say taht with that emerald he made the deus Ex Machina from Adventure2 and Shadow, and the emerald was some how reunited with the others during the chaos control at the end of Sonic1.  Or that Rings were created when Chaos had his rant, and the emeralds split and scattered all over, and thats why the two objects are connect so often.

Oh and form 'legends' saying the emeralds were hidden on South and Westside island...  We know they were not.  Emeralds were not hidden there...  Gates to the Special stages were.

...Lol at how bord I must be to type all that on this subject.  I am going outside now.

Elise having a Emerald is not that big a deal.

The same emerald is just in that point of time twice.  There were not two before Silver arrived in the past, and there were not two after he went to the past.

When Gerald was doing his thing in space there was only one Blue Emerald as that was ages before Silver did his time traveling. During Sonics games though there are two.  The one Sonic does his collect 50 rings gig for, and the one Elise has.  After '06 there is one again, as Silver has taken one of them to the past in order for there to be 2 in the first place.  Erm, yeah I think that made sense.  Maybe.

Course god knows where that second blue emerald was during '06.  Its the one Sonic usually collects after all.  Maybe it is in a special stage?  Just instead of jumping through a giant ring to get there, you have to jump through a plot hole?

Or it might be the one Silver took with him to the future, the one he used to seal Iblis.  I have never really thought about that.

Course I am sure the 'real' answer was effects of the paradoxes.  As that game had hundreds.

All that said, you say '06 now never happened even more than it did not before.  Im cool with that.

Oh and yeah same Blaze in my opinion.  She could have been adopted.  IIRC video game princesses are often adopted.  Especially the magic ones.  Well the Pyromaniac ones anyway.

And Eggman Nega is a giant plot hole.

...Wow.  What a geek I am.

Well, here's the bad guy. I can't find an official source for this.

edit: He's on the official site.

So we now have a trio for each of the main characters in the very first game, Sonic and Eggman.

Course we have Blue Sonic, Black Sonic, and White Sonic.  (Sonic, Shadow, and Silver.)

We also have Eggman, Clown Eggman, and now, Pirate Eggman.  (Robotnik, Eggman Nega, and this weeks new bad guy)

As 'great' as this looks I am looking forward to June when 'Sonic Riders the Secret Rings:Twilight Princess' is announced and we can finaly be introduced to Grey Sonic, and Elvis Presley Eggman.

You could chage Stardust speedway to

Starlight speedway
or
The stardust speedway zone

But there a bit similar to the original.

So as this is mainly a site based around speed it should have speedy name.
When i think about speed in sonic i first think about sonics shoes.
I keep coming up with names like,

White striped red sneakers
or
the red and white shoes

something like that.  Those dont seem that catchy, but you get the idea.  I dont know myself if these are good suggestions or really bad ones, but im sure you'll let me know.

How about "stardust speedway"

It clearly matches the new skins, and it kinda sounds futuristic like you were saying you wanted.

It should be seen to be a sonic site, as it is the name of a zone, and the "SPEEDway" relates to the whole time attack thing.
