you have to play it on the j version.

So the only bad thing i noticed is that you lost about 20-30 frames at the beginning of SY3. Other than that this TAS is just awesome. I love how you just raped SL3. L1 as well for that fact.

thats just the way the previous author decided to wait for the spikes to get out of the way I hadn't worked on SY3 yet. (I assume you mean him waiting at the start) you have to wait for that cycle on the moving boxes anyway so it doesn't waste any time, and I think that his run is probably perfect until he jumps over the yellow spring at the top.

don't unban the LB1 trick! that would be retarded in my opinion.  as for the LR1 trick I don't really care if thats banned or not, at least it takes some skill to keep combo.

actually with 10k per enemy and 1 enemy every 5 seconds the most you can get is 1,200,000 when the score maxes at 9,999,990. even with one enemy a second that would only be 6,000,000.

uh people HAVE score scalped in Hill Top zone, just look at the top scores.  90k in HT1? and 60k in HT2, with out a perfect bonus?  those scores arn't possible with out score scalping. (in addition to grabbing and killing most/all of the rings and enemies of course)

pretty cool, seems to be the original physics to me, though I'm not sure if the frame rate issues are bad enough to warrent not allowing it, and the potential confusion with this and sonic genesis for the ipod touch could be a problem.

actually since the bonus is at the end of the level you could still count the extra rings towards your score since technically you'd be getting the points in a single life <_<

SONIC 2 SCORE DIVISIONS
It's also worth noting that the second half of the written Knuckles rule ("nor is dying after hitting a starpost.") is redundant considering general rules. ("Scores must be attained in a single continuous run (without deaths).")


iirc when knuckles dies he gets back the rings he had when he hit the last checkpoint AND all the rings respawn.

these are currently allowed.  I believe the reasoning behind it is that the score gained is minor where as in LR1 99% of the score is gained from destroying the same badnik over and over again.
