Competition Central / Re: Marble Zone -- new glitch?
« on: July 05, 2010, 07:18:30 pm »
how do you propose saving time in marble 2? the only useful spike platform doesn't hit the ground until about the time you hit the flag.

I was thinking you might be able to go through the left boundary of marble 3, but I think the level boundaries count as a 16 pixel wall, combining that with the actual 16 pixel wall means its impossible to go through it even with maximum zipping speed.

I don't think I want to try that one <_<

also IWBTG is harder at least on impossible in my opinion. but then again I guess medium should be the difficulty to consider against this and IWBTG on medium is definitly easier then the worlds hardest game.

when I tested this as tails alone I had to do crazy manuvering between holding left and right in order to avoid getting stuck. then had to time the jump out to about a frame in order to not die.

its funny that I got quoted for using an emoticon that I hardly ever use.  in fact I doubt I've used that more then 10 times in my life.

Why don't I compete? Because I have a lot fo trouble against som many of the bosses. s3 pushed the boss difficulty up a few notches from s2. Take Ice Cap 1. Theres really no time to react to the ice blasts, and there is no pattern to if its sideways or down...
...

uh... what are you talking about?

the icecap 1 boss is easy as pie especially as sonic. and everything he does is on a pattern.

and no s3 boss can compare to the metropolis boss.  even the grabby guy at the end is easy in comparison.

you have to die first and go through the left wall using the moving wall to push you into the floor.

I highly support this idea, and maybe even the idea of lumping together all of s1-s3k.

I had already thought about playing Sonic 3 more often and submitting stats. But I've seen some giz's of Spindashmaster, and I actually can't believe you beat him in every ring record.
I might start competing on it sometime but I don't think I'll be very good.

most of SDMs ring records were already perfect, so he didn't beat him in every one, only a few.  he just tied him on the rest.

I think you should put the rule against spamming alarms back because I don't holding a spindash for 8 minutes should be a competition.

first 7 enemies of a 13 enemy HC2K combo.  but I was stupid and missed the 5th sharkbot of the group.

since scores must be obtained with out deaths you'd have to subtract all the points obtained on a previous life.
