I didn't realize the background planet in that Tropical Resort picture.

There were screenshots in Nintendo Power that showed most of this stuff.  Tropical Resort is a new revelation though.  I think.

Even saw the drill and laser in screenshots.

I'm still not all that interested.  I see Cruizer's hooked on the DS version though.

Your Laser Screwdriver is useless if you lose it!

You shouldn't have put such a thing in your pants pocket.  The thing can make holes in it.

(I'm grasping at straws here, I don't remember the laser screwdriver well, so hole in the pants pocket is the best trump I can muster.)

Mario News / Re: Super Mario Galaxy 2

I went and looked through every level to see where any extra scores are.

--------

Scores (Galaxy - Star Name):
Fluffy Bluff Galaxy - The Chimp's Stomp Challenge
Freezy Flake Galaxy - The Chimp's Skating Challenge
Honeyhop Galaxy - The Chimp's Score Challenge
Shiverburn Galaxy - The Chimp's Ultimate Skating Challenge
Melty Monster Galaxy - The Chimp's Bowling Challenge
Slimy Spring Galaxy - The Chimp's Coin Challenge

--------

The Chimp's Bowling Challenge is one of the easier max-able scores <_<

And Yoshifan, no, the game doesn't use star numbers.  Not counting green stars (Which are all named Green Star 1/Green Star 2/Green Star 3).  In fact, the star arrangement is very similar to Galaxy 1:
In picture format.  Excuse the horrible quality.
Scores and race times (Which I think are only in the Fluzzard stages) appear in the spot directly above "Clear Time".

As Thorn stated, for every galaxy that has 3 stars, there are also 3 green stars.  For those that have 2, then 2 green stars.  The only exception to this is Grandmaster Galaxy, which has no green stars.

« on: May 28, 2010, 10:36:26 pm »
Oh hey, a Rocket Knight topic.

I got it the moment it came out on Steam, played it, got EVERYTHING (steam achievements and unlockables) and I haven't played it much since then.

Dunno if I'll do time competition, but I did get 24...something on 3-1 score.  At the time it was first on Steam (Dunno what it is now) but I know it can get into 25 or 26 instead of 24.

(I forget how many zeroes followed, so...)

EDIT: Oh yeah, and I love it.  I've just been too busy with other games to get back into it.

EDIT 2: And Isis, the charge is actually a gradual lowering when it rises.  When you're at nothing it rises quite quickly (Not fast enough to chain boosts immediately, but fast enough) so yeah, it doesn't hinder you all that much.

Never had much reason to check the forums.

Pokémon:
Platinum - 2536 0284 4289
Soul Silver - 5242 4157 1808

Other:
Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing - 1591-6588-7962

----

Also, how to get friend codes off of S&SASR.

After selecting your license, select Nintendo WFC and then Friend Roster.  Your friend code will be at the bottom of the screen.

Silly RR, ring chains are for kids.

But seriously I wouldn't be surprised if those were ignored or counted in the rings section <_<

With that said I like Cruizer's idea.

And on subject, this is quite an interesting idea.  The only problem as stated above is that there's a simple enough minimum to most if not all the stages for this.  But instead of bothering with a point system or anything why not just make it "Try to get to the end while only using those abilities when required"?  Simple start, simple finish, kinda reminds me of the one time SadisticMystic went through all the levels without using the bounce bracelet.

Mike did you ever post the Michigan pic(s)? >_>;

Also mike clearly = 2*FF.

Also did RPG shave his head or something?

Also time to stop saying "also."
He'll post the rest once he's home.

So I talked to Mike and I learned he didn't take a picture of me.  Or learn my name.  This should fix things:

Well to be fair the trailer music could be in the game.  I just highly doubt it since it seems to be unveiling mood music more than anything.

Darned Japanese site hoarding the music >_>

Dunno if they'll use that one either but it's much more likely.

Wikkity! / Re: itt MIKE'S WHIRLWIND TOUR OF AMERICA AND ENGLAND 2010
« on: January 17, 2010, 06:28:03 pm »
Oh hey, here's the topic.  Also, good idea.

1: The airport!  There's a lot of it off limits to people waiting for arrivals >_>  Good thing I knew Mike by his face.
2: The transit!  We ran into who could have been a hooker or something, someone asking for change, and a stall on one of the linerails or whatever they call them.  I've never run into this kind of thing before <_<
Then again I haven't taken the linerails, just the subway around here >_>
3: Apparently Mike's number shows up as an Ohio call on my phone.  I blame my phone not being able to work with foreign numbers.
4: Union Station is pretty cool when leaving the Red Line.  You go up the stairs in this plain, gray station and then boom.  Fancy brown station waiting room.  In my opinion, the best way to enter that station.
5: Hey Mike how's your sudoku book going along?
6: Apparently I can't call Mike back.  As such it was lucky that I got to give him his chocolate squares after eating lunch. <_<
On a subway interception, to boot.  With that said, if I missed him then I would have eaten it myself >_>
7: Mike never asked me for my name.
8: ZERO instances of "I CALL BS!".  Though it would have been perfect for the Blue Line holdup.

It was particularly short but perhaps next time there can be more cool stuff done with.  By the way I'm a terrible host.

85
Oh hey, another cool thing I missed.

Sonic 1: Labyrinth / Star Light
Sonic 2: Mystic Cave I guess?  I wasn't overly fond of Sonic 2's levels.
Sonic 3: Ice Cap.  Oh, and Hydrocity's gaining a liking too.
Sonic & Knuckles: FLYING BATTERY!  One of my favorite stages ever.
Sonic Adventure: Speed Highway (Sonic and Tails)
Sonic Adventure 2: Pyramid Cave
Sonic Heroes: Hang Castle
Shadow The Hedgehog: Cosmic Fall
Sonic CD: Stardust Speedway / Quartz Quadrant (It's coincidence I swear!)
Knuckles Chaotix (If Shadow counts, this does too): Speed Slider / Marina Madness
Sonic 1 GG: Bridge 2  *Taillow shot
Sonic 2 GG: Gimmick Mountain
Sonic Chaos: They all bore me.
Sonic Triple Trouble: Robotnik Winter I guess.
Sonic Pocket Adventure: They all bore me.
Sonic R: Radiant Emerald (Everybody's Su-per So-nic Racing...)
Sonic Advance: Egg Rocket
Sonic Advance 2: Hot Crater
Sonic Advance 3: Cyber Track / Chaos Angel
Sonic Battle: I... er... pass.  Can't remember any.
Sonic 3D Blast: Diamond Dust
Sonic And The Secret Rings: Night Palace / Evil Factory ((WHO'S GONNA ROCK THE PLACE?)
Sonic Riders:
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity: Aquatic Capital / Gigas Rocks
Sonic The Fighters: Giant Wing / Death Egg's Eye / Casino Night
Sonic Rush: Altitude Limit
Sonic Rush Adventure: Haunted Ship / Pirates' Island
Sonic Unleashed (Wii): Eggmanland (Day)

Well, this was particularly epic.  Or something.

08:28:12 <Da1>: attention #soniccenter
08:28:15 <Da1>: the game...
08:28:16 <Da1>: that is all
08:28:57 <Quartz>: The one you lost. Got it.
08:29:18 <Da1>: yes
08:29:21 <Da1>: :(
08:29:24 <Da1>: also elephants
08:29:40 * Da1 puts an elephant in the way of Quartz line of fire
08:30:07 * Quartz changes line of fire and shoots Dhaos
08:30:13 <Da1>: D:
08:30:16 <Da1>: damn it
08:30:18 <Da1>: ;-;
08:30:53 <Aitamen>: all projectiles hit Dhaos, and elephants are always in the way... thus, either A) All bullets are elephant-peircing bullets or B) Dhaos is an elephant
08:31:09 <Quartz>: Not even a wall of elephants can stop me!
08:31:15 <Quartz>: Aitamen, it's both
08:32:15 <Da1>: I am hit by all attacks.
08:32:22 <Da1>: so therefore it matters not what is in the way.
08:33:00 <Aitamen>: nah, it's because you're the elephant that's always in the way
08:33:09 <Aitamen>: if you weren't an elephant, you wouldn't be hit by all the attacks
08:33:22 <Da1>: lmfao
08:33:31 <Da1>: you bring up a strong point.
08:33:32 <Da1>: :(
08:33:36 <Umbreon>: lol
08:33:37 <Aitamen>: it's perfect logic: you have to look at causation vs. coincidence
08:34:34 <Aitamen>: it's not that YOU are hit by all attacks... that's meerly a sidepoint
08:34:42 <Aitamen>: it's that elephants are always in the way
08:35:10 <Aitamen>: and since I know my knives are not elephant piercing, and all attacks hit you, there's no way that both could be true unless you are an elephant yourself
08:35:21 <Aitamen>: in which case, you're in the way, regardless of target
08:35:32 <Aitamen>: further, you may be the ONLY elephant in the way
08:35:49 <Da1>: o:
08:36:05 <Da1>: it's too logical.
08:36:08 <Da1>: can't...take it...
08:36:10 <Da1>: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

And then he left.

Thank you Dhaos for the log <_<

89
I see no point in having seperate charts for semifinal and final.  There really isn't any difference between them.  Also, have we even done any sort of game where we have a "score vs. score/highest score wins" in the game?

Using your justice-serving lighter, you attempt to set her on fire.
