Why doesn't Sky Fortress Act 1 have scores/rings?  Have you tried waiting the boss out instead of striking it?  There's a video on youtube that does it (And Kirby did it himself when he streamed the beta), but I dunno if this is the same in the final version (It probably is).  I suggest you check.

Aside from that I think it looks good.

Consider putting the special stage records in their respective time/ring/score categories then?

Now that I think of it this is kind of a new thing isn't it? >_>

Oh, and for the record.

WHAT NOW?
You have seven more stages to go, fool!

Man, why throw a gauntlet?

Use an iron ball.

Eh, fine.  I'll offer for Sonic Advance 3.  As long as it's not gonna be ridiculously soon.

On the plus side, I can relearn that horrible, horrible T+S R99-2 strat to get a nice T+S R99-3.  Though this only matters if I start from a fresh file.

Also I'd probably try the T+A CA3 strat a few times but I'll probably wimp out on the first platform flight if I fail it too many times.  (I recall the second platform being easy enough and the third just needing some mashing.)

I'd offer for Riders as well, but there's no way I'd be able to emulate that and I still don't have recording equipment for that >_>

Speaking of emulation, did any other marathons do so? <_<

I'm pretty sure Perfect Chaos hard sends you in a completely different area for one hit.  Can't say the same for Death Egg Robot though.  I'd need someone to confirm it though >_>

I thought RAing was in essence gathering all the rings naturally lying around in a stage, not gathering all the rings in a stage + an extra 10 that the game just gives you.  But I can't think of an identical situation that's happened before (Especially since SatSR doesn't have ring charts)

Also I'm pretty sure there's some skills that would make at least a slight difference.  Aren't there speedup skills?  Endless boost, faster wall jumping, elemental shields, etc.

BLASPHEMY!

Well I see where you're going with this so yeah good reason.  Nice to see you'll still be hanging around the chat though.

Didn't stop me when I started my speedrun hiatus, after all <_<

From the sounds of things it sounds like you have a ring count in the adventure field before you re-enter the stage.  Which is still a ring count from the adventure field.  Or am I mistaken?

Oh yeah the speed shoes.

There's some in Green Hill Classic, but I didn't think it was worth mentioning <_<
Kinda forgot that they stopped appearing in later Sonic games, felt so much like a staple of appearance.

Also I would have had videos if I had a video camera.

Okay so I went to that Sonic Boom event.  Fun stuff.  Let me put down some of my thoughts:

--------

Right off the bat I've noticed Classic Sonic's spindash is hold-charge based, instead of mash-charge based. >_>
Furthermore, you can use Square (No idea what the 360 version's button is, since I didn't touch the 360 demos, probably same as the boost button) to go straight into a spindash even if you aren't at a complete stop.  Obligatory BLASPHEMY!

I swear spindash jumping is harder.  Like "I can't actually pull it off instantly" harder.

Someone fell through the floor during the event!  This is truly a Sonic game, with the seal of Sonic Quality Approval

(This doesn't show it, but it happened just after this loop, during the spiral)

Uncurling's in there, yes.  But it seems to vary depending on how long you charge your spindash.  Charge it for a bit and it'll uncurl after a bit.  Charge for 1-2 seconds and it'll take longer to do so.  Directly related to speed I guess.  Or was it like that since Sonic 4 as well?  Anyhow.

I sucked.  I only got sub-minute <_<  I was fifth in their time-attack competition thing.  All the times that beat me only came during the last 30 minutes though so when I got back to it I couldn't retaliate fast enough.  I blame the lines.  And being overconfident enough not continue while thinking there aren't other people who'd match the pace >_>

--------

Modern Sonic!  They didn't run a Time Attack thing for this so I have less to cover here.

First off, it seems like you can't boost while on a rail at times.  Or some rails.  Or it's fickle I dunno.  Doesn't matter if you boost before them though.

Turning's as good as ever >_>
<_<
No idea if drifting's back.

It's your standard Modern Sonic, really.

--------

Sadly the demo only had Green Hill, and marked Classic Sonic as Act 1 and Modern Sonic as Act 2.  Not certain if that's how they're gonna do it in the actual release, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Dhaos, your Green Hill Classic Sonic target is under 50 seconds <_<
Or at least close.  I can see plenty of improvement, especially since I didn't optimize spindashes until it was too late.

Seeing as it's Christmas, let me continue.

I still got a whole load of nothing.

...okay, I got 60 bucks, some chocolate, and some clothes.  Not too much closer to getting a new system unless they sell 360s ridiculously cheap used, AND not risk-free enough to avoid a RROD <_<

So I got to merging the Rush level data that's up there.  I'd prefer to wait until the spikes/spring/etc. data is up but just in case I need a backup... (Or for those curious)

I'll get to the other two games soon, but not today.

It's about time we got some Rush maps!

Anyhow I looked through this and combining them is easy thanks to that unrelated background color:
As shown here
I could possibly shrink them down cleanly to a size easier to view as well (I know I can shrink them but I don't know how clean the shrinking will come out).  Cruizer, is there any way you can get rings/springs/enemies/etc put up as well?

EDIT: Half Size

Might as well post this time.

1'22"40 on Casino Street 2 using Super Sonic. Ran into the wall at the end of the card bridge, so this could definitely get lower (and if I can catch an earlier cycle on the 3rd set of barrels, if it's even possible, this can go below 1'20).
It's possible WITHOUT getting an earlier cycle (And the early cycle is possible too).  After the third cardsnake just spindash jump off the pillar, then high jump from the destructable box and airdash for momentum, and go from there.  And just jump straight to the top of the final card bridge since a good run would lead you there just in time for the first card to stop being a platform.  And the spindash kinda gets screwed up in an earlier cycle since by the time you're there the cards tend to block you.

Also Paraxade that trick in your video nine seconds is insane and I cannot pull it off even near consistently.  How often do you manage it? >_>

Hah!  I just might actually actively TA this game!

CS Boss 25"84!

Having checked up the PS3 and 360 versions via Strong Bad and Paraxade, I can say that at the moment that's the top time amongst the systems >_>

Also we need maps.  Anyone know how to hack up some maps? <_<

Drat!  I better have money to get this before the race!

I'd race.  About time I joined in another one.  I don't expect to win though, but hey, not gonna stop me from trying.

Hey Cruizer are you planning on getting a console version too?  I remember hearing the iPhone would be different or something.
