OK Guys, This is the first challenge:

TSC Challenge 1
Name: Fire Jumper
Game: Sonic Generations
Level: Green Hill Act 1
Requirements: Equip the fire shield skill, then as soon as the level starts press Y/Triangle, to have the fire shield, then only jump (that means you can only press A for Xbox, and X for PS3) to complete the level. You have to complete the level without touching the analog stick or the D-pad. You aren't allowed to spindash. This took me about 10 minutes to do, and takes a little practice. Remember ONLY press the Jump button.

For times, i think it should be every saturday. Morning time for US, afternoon for UK, and whatever time is left for the Aussies (I think werster is the only active Australian I think so we need his viewpoint), this prevents it going into the night for most of the active racers. The reason I quit the Heroes race halfway through was because I've never speed ran the game before, and I knew it would end up taking me all night - the trace simply started too late, I can't be starting at 10pm and end up being up throughout the night, if it starts at something like 3pm then I'll be fine, and i expect it'll be more convenient for everyone else, but we'll have to see what people thinnk of that proposed time.

Competition Central / TSC Sonic Challenges

I've looked around and saw a challenges thread, but it seems to have stopped in April, so I'm going to start them up again and run them. These will be challenges from all different games, and I'm going to start with Sonic Generations as I know that game well and can think of lots of challenges for it. Each challenge will last 2 weeks, and the five fastest people will receive the points. An overall leaderboard will be updated after each game.
The first challenge will start on Saturday October 6th at 00:00 GMT and last for 2 weeks. After that a challenge now starts on a Saturday, and Finishes on a Saturday (It finishes at Midnight On A Saturday But The challenge may be announced earlier than midnight). I will announce the challenge just before it starts. The aim is to complete the challenge as fast as possible. Here are how the points will be distributed:
1st – 10 points
2nd – 8 points
3rd – 5 points
4th – 3 points
5th – 1 point
Bonus points may be awarded and the challenge will say so if that’s the case. Check back here when the challenge starts on Saturday to see what it is. You must post your time (no cheating or else you'll not be allowed to participate), if you want to post a Youtube link for extra proof feel free. If you want to post a link of a YouTube Video for your time you can do, but you don't have to. :P
Just to reiterate you DON'T need a video as proof. But you CAN if you want to.

Here I'm posting the fastest times out there for Sonic Games that have a video on Youtube. Hopefully this saves you searching for times on YouTube; instead you can come here to find them. If you know of a faster video than what I got for a level then please post the link as a reply and I can add it. This isn't an attempt to replace the videos page in the media tab, this is because some of the owners of these videos may not be members of TSC and thus can't submit their videos to TSC. I live in britain, so GMT is my time, 11pm is way too late for myself, it would take me till midnight to finish the game. I think we should have them at 10pm GMT on friday and 7pm GMT on saturday, so everyone at different times gets a turn. :)

I propose friday night and saturday night, whether u do 3d or 2d on which day doesnt bother me, I think for games like DX where loading times are a difference then u should make it fair and make it console specific. I'm only available very other weekend though

i think friday and saturday nights are most convenient for me, but hopefully it will be conveninet for everyone - personally i'd like to see sonic 1, 2, 3&k, CD, and the GG Sonic 1 & 2 as games played, and for 3D games it should be Generations, Unleashed & Colours, & Sonic Adventure 1 & 2. And also Sonic 4 Episode 1, 2 and Episode Metal (But they'll probably come under 2D games). I'm assuming all platforms will be allowed, so emulating games and PC versions of generations and Sonic Adventure are Ok. I'm not very familiar with TSC race night cos I've not been a member for that long. :)

P.S - For console games I think a capture card would be required for live streaming - can anyone recommend to me a good quality and cheap capture card for all consoles (My PC is right next to my consoles so it's not a problem about running back and forth :)
