Clearly you are not a fan of Penny Arcade (or you are and were being deliberately unoriginal).

Still, GOTY.

Given that a non-submission gets you more points than last place, shouldn't the worst player be the one with least submissions?

That sounds fucking fun.
I assume this just occured in the chat, right?

It'd be awesome to be able to do it streaming on Mogulus or something (one stream each, spectators watching all three at once, though I doubt competitors would be able to watch their opponents and still have enough bandwidth to be able to stream smoothly themselves).

Sorry man but you've really pulled that one out of your ass. There's nothing there.

Ooh, I see, I look forward to seeing the foreground then!

When I mentioned the straight line I meant this.

Though I now realise that it's actually the horizon line that the 2nd row of buildings are sitting on. Though isn't it a bit strange that there's apparently miles of no tall buildings between the front and back row? And that the tops of the front line of buildings lines up exactly with the bottom of the back line? The fact that both lines have the same colours in the lights makes it difficult to read one as being further away than the other too. I'd move that front row up and make the back row's lights a bit dimmer, myself.

Well basically I'm just saying that if that's meant to be a background that many little bright lights against black is going to be massive, distracting visual clutter. Contrast leaps out: not good for something that's meant to sit in the background. You did get the balance really nice in that first image, though.

You also did well with the lightning in the sky: you realised that you didn't need to make it really bright to get the point across. But think about it: are the lights of a city that much brighter than lightning?

Also, looking again, that front line of buildings looks a bit nonsensical: the diagonals of the lines of lights implies perspective, but the tops of the buildings are a straight line.

I'm completely drunk as I just went to a party so I apologise if this is a bit nonsensical or haphazard or abrasive.

Peace.

I'm about as excited about this as I would be if Mario is Missing were re-trademarked.

Thing is, though, nobody can even agree if either of them are good or bad.

Nobody seems to be able to agree on which version is better. It's annoying.

Final Fantasy VII
Beat Ruby Weapon before fighting Emerald Weapon. I did not use Knights of the Round, Mime, or the 7777 attack. It took me 60 hours to prepare for the fight.

What was your strat exactly? And how long did the actual fight last? :P

I have no recent achievements. I um...got Sonic Chronicles I guess. It's pretty bad.

Well I'll get Dark Brotherhood at some point. I don't have any of the current consoles but I may pick up the PS2 version of Unleashed if it doesn't turn out lacking compared to the Wii version (I'm assuming I'll get a Wii eventually).

What's wrong with not having hubs?

Saw one in a video and it looked boring. They were only half-welcome in Sonic Adventure as it is, has nothing been learned from Sonic 06?

General Sonic / Re: Sonic: Night of the Werehog

Well it says "Full movie coming November 2008" at the end so that's a clue.

The issue is that it's stupid.

It's not going to be good (don't be fooled by the flashy CG, Sonic cutscenes aren't good, and this is just going to be a super-long cutscene) and yet they'll have spent money, time, and manpower on it. Plus, as I said, it's completely centered around a stupid gimmick that nobody wanted in the first place, never mind wanted to see MORE of outside the one game it was meant to be restricted to. If they're going to make a Sonic the Hedgehog short film I want it to be about fucking Sonic, not generic-furfag-fanfiction-quality-Scooby-fucking-Doo-ripoff bullshit.

Now, I will maintain that I think the werehog thing isn't necessarily terrible WITHIN the confines of Sonic Unleashed: the guns in Shadow were actually the least of that games problems, and I think the same of the werehog. But imagine if they'd made a film focusing purely on Shadow using guns and riding motorbikes. Featuring Omochao.
That's what this is.

What's greatest about this is that they seem to be in complete ignorance that NOBODY LIKED THE WEREHOG IDEA. Giving the fans what they want? Perish the though. Sega really, really don't have a clue what they're doing.

It's like if George Lucas made a Jar Jar movie special.

http://uk.movies.ign.com/dor/objects/14294754/sonic-night-of-the-werehog/videos/sonic_trailer_103008.html

Trailer for a "film" supposed to come out in Nov 2008. Presumably a short rather than a feature.

Looks stupid and pointless either way. I suppose there's the possibility that it'll be enjoyable in its stupidity, but I'm not holding out for anything better than Archie-fanfiction quality plot and writing.

Same as Judgement, I find 3 keys doesn't respond consistently. Two fingers for me, although I use Delete, End, and PgDown for A, B, and C, and WASD for directions.

So it'd be DelEndDelEndDelEnd.

Not that I have any personal experience, but I've heard lots of good things about the Parodius series.

I wasn't aware there was a collection on PSP for any of those.

Well I have to say that does look pretty nice. I'm impressed by how well the Wii version graphics hold up against the Hedgehog Engine. Wonder if the PS2 version will look the same, though.
