thanks guys.

RPG, that picture's so dark.... atleast I uhh, know what the hair on the very top of your head looks like.

Taco, you look pro as a baker... or maybe its just that awesome NES controller shirt that I like...?

I just found some pictures of me I never knew were uploaded, they are from about 2 months ago when we took a trip to the mountains, which we've done once every year for a slong as I can remember :P never fails to be fun, we couldn't goto where we USUALLY go, but I still made the best of it.

I uhh... well wasn't really prepared for the camera, so these probably won't be as good as some new ones would be. (I will try to get some soon)

just me in the cool 99 cent  fold-up chair we bought last year, complete with drink holders... just no drinks yet.

our awesome dog we've had for a really long time now(13 years!) so he's about 14, he has a hard time getting around sometimes though so we figured this would most likely be his last trip with us, he had fun :) and yeah, we brought along  his very own (soft) foam bed, since he doesn't like the hard ground much these days.

me playing on a tree, the stream we were by was pretty dry at the time but I would assume someone in the past cut it down to form a bridge when there was lots of water flowing. Or maybe it just fell on its own, either way its cool that it was there.

GOTTA have a fire right? I dunno when this was taken, i'd guess early morning, either way just your average fire and a good partial shot of our spot.

Good luck! I felt extremely accomplished when I finally got metal harbor under 1:20 (it took me years of playing)
Thanks.

I recorded 1:28.17 and was going to upload it so you could tell me my weakpoints... but I won't do so now unless I can't get 1:20 in a week

I don't think I can get 1:20 because I base my strat off the best Metal Harbor vid I could find on youtube, which is 1:22 x__X

Well, to be honest, I suck at this game. Try and tell me which of my times is the best so I'll work on that one the most. There's only 3 courses that I'm remotely proud of my score. (All m1 by the way)

Sky Rail- 52.xx
I'm somewhat consistent on this course, it's the shortest and the easiest, but I can shave off 4 or more seconds off this if I can go through it without making stupid mistakes.

Metal Harbor- 1:27.99
My most played course. I came extremely close to 1:24/1:25 many times lately, but as of late I haven't been able to do the last shortcut to the goal ring. Which sucks because I used to be able to do it consistently.

Crazy Gadget- 2:01.17
I actually tried to speed run this stage for the first time today. And before today, I hadn't seen any speed runs of the stage. I based my run off of Yoshifan's m3 video, but because I use the Wii's internet I couldn't check back for reference once I was playing it. I know I can shave off 2/3 seconds and get sub 2:00 because I abused the checkpoint for a 0:54 second glass check and again at the last checkpoint because I missed the bubble.

Well...youtube isn't working for me today, and I don't have quicktime so I can't check to see if this is old or not today. I often forget about things like this because I'm usually busy (hence why I rarely come on here). So try forgiving me if this was found on the first day of SA2 or something like that.

Anyways, just after the first part of Pyramid Cave in SA2(B), if you charge a spindash while holding up on the control stick and roll into the timer, you can land on the roof and continue right into the first set of uneven bars. It saves a nice bit of time.

YOU SHOULD BE COMPETING IN SONIC ADVENTURE 2.

YOU SEEM TO HAVE SUFFICIENT KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPEED TECHNIQUES.
I honestly can't tell whether you're being sarcastic or desperate.

I thought so. It seemed kind of slow anyways.

I'm new to this place and Sonic in general, so I'm not exactly sure if this is new, if it saves time, or if it's even in the speed run route.

Well anyways, I know about the really high bounce trick against the wall in SA2B. I'm not sure if it's just me, but you have to be at a somewhat far distance to use it, then spend a few frames jumping and bouncing. But in Metal harbor, you can get a similar result by standing on the square platforms attatched to the red crates and spindashing while pushing the control stick against the crate. The only place this can probably be of use is at the first pulley in Metal Harbor. Once you skip the weird half loop thing and jump over the ramp at the end of it, immediately jump to the right and land behind the red crate, and without wasting time, spindash while holding down on the control stick. There's nowhere near the 2nd pulley where this would work. Unless a fully-charged spin could potentially skip both pulleys (I haven't tested this trick much).

For all I know, the normal superbounce or even just taking the pulley is faster, I'm not sure.

At least this could be used in a hero-side story speedrun because you wouldn't have the bounce ball by Metal Harbor.
