Update: Ken Jennings won yet again, and now has an accumulative total of $1,000,620 (At least I think this was the total-I saw the end of jeopardy, and glanced at the total quickly)

It's actually $1,004,960.

He had $46,000 into Final Jeopardy, and tried to break his own record with a $14,000 bet, but missed the question (picked 1996/2001 for the first two years when the NY Times used 96-point font headlines; the correct answer, which I nailed off in just under 2 seconds, was 1969/1974).
