Owned Games
« on: July 15, 2006, 02:13:05 am »
Post the games that you own and have owned. Note that the command form is used and it is therefore imperative that you do so. Also note that you will likely be judged based solely on your response and that all future judgements and decisions pertaining to you wil probably stem solely from your first reply and first reply only, redemption impossible unless time was somehow manipulated to enable you to travel to any given period after your birth and before the moment of posting. In other words, just have fun with it.

What can I say, I missed a good age in gaming and now have to buy everything used if I can find it at all. Although, ROMs help. Not that I would...ever use them, of course. Ahem. I did not include games that I borrowed or rented but...why would I?

Precisely.

Edit: I remembered two games that I forgot to add to the list: Stimpy's Invention and Sonic 3D Blast. I also got Baten Kaitos today. So meh.

Second Edit: I got Sonic Mega Collection today. Yay.

Third Edit: I bought Soul Calibur II today, and remembered that I owned the genesis version of Frogger. It was a good port.

Fourth Edit: Hey, another mild edit! I almost got Killer 7 today, until the cashier realized that it was rated M. Then, the person who I had buy it for me gave it to me in front of them. Idiot. After that, I talked to the cashier and offered to buy the game for him and exchange it for Perfect Dark when he went on break, making it an off-the-books deal, but he was paranoid and thought I was from the ESRB.  Instead, I bought Viewtiful Joe. Only  after getting home did I realize that I should have claimed that I was from the ESRB, claimed I bought Perfect Dark off their cashier (it has an 'M' rating), and said that I would report them unless they let me buy Killer 7. I think I'll try this again some other day.

Fifth Edit: I just bought Dragon Warrior Monsters today. It's addictingly fun. I also fixed Viewtiful Joe by rubbing it in toothpaste. Thank you gamestop for the somehow valid advice.

Sixth Edit: I bought Final Fantasy III, and was given Yoshi Touch & Go and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin as gifts. Yoshi Touch & Go is ok, and Portrait of Ruin is pretty much the same as Dawn of Sorrow, only this time you have subweapons which are only useful after tedious enemy farming instead of souls which are kind of ok when you first get them.

There's a thin line between what games my brother owns and what games I own.  When I find the line, I'll post my list.

I don't have the time to post all of my games. I have over 100 handheld games, and i think about 40 console games. There's lots of Sonic, Wipeout, and Mario. And Klonoa, NIS games, and Pokemon.

Pilot Wings
Super R Type

Daytona USA*, Daytona USA Circuit Edition
Last Bronx*, Virtua Fighter 2* (lame, I got these part of a package)

Ridge Racer*, Ridge Racer Revolution*
Rage Racer*
Ridge Racer Type 4* (gay)
Raystorm*

Doom
Mega Man X4, X5*, X6* (life-changingly good, crushing disappointment, punch in the balls)

Egg, you worry me... and I honestly despise your obvious lack of dedication... but personal tastes and emotions aside, impressive collection!

Yea, when I list everything, it sure seems big... Though we have less than half of this stuff at the moment. Me joining GameTZ was a huge deal, more or less rotating games and systems through the mail, for a period of time back then. And not just me here who's a gamer, but my bro, our bud (who eventually dropped much of N64 stuff on us) and even my nephew contributed to the cause, so to speak. So that's why. :P

Lack of dedication... you mean cause I didn't complete many of these games? Hell, if they didn't suck so much! 8] Seriously though, games my bro got after a certain point I usually had little intention of playing in the first place, but fact remains we owned it. Some games, like Ocarina of Time, I was entirely responsible for, but I think I was more than diligent enough, to be honest. >_>

I make a point of getting full value out of all games that I buy. As a result, I've 100% completed almost everything I have.

As for a list, I couldn't be bothered right now, I might edit it onto this post when I'm done thinking about my list.

I'm that way as well. Just recently, I finished Mega Man Network Transmission and took out Bass, the secret boss. That game was not as hard as people claimed it was.
Ever know what its like to get pwned by a book? Sonic certainly does.

Dedication is playing a game through to show that you can, and to have the right to say it sucks.

Chakan is a DAMN good example of this working against you, because after playing it, I loved it.

Toki was fun too...

Gods (Genesis), however, was horribly hard... but I did it... though, time was not on my side with those runs

A few notes:

-That's about... 6 years since I got the SNES. Some of these were thought over,
some were given to me or my brother as presents, and some were just bought with little thought
(hmm, why not get this?). Fortunately, I would call few of them super-boring.

-I play all of them at least a bit. I'm guessing that on average, I beat games, but I don't get 100%.
(But I haven't gone over the list to see if that's true.)

-I have PC games, but I haven't made a list of them. Many of them were the free CD-ROMS that came in cereal boxes.
Others were bought / gotten as gifts, including Sonic 3D Blast.

My list has been updated, with three more solid games remembered, two of them for the Genesis. Is it me or is almost every decent genesis game a side-scroller?

Also, does anybody have any clue where (outside of eBay) you can buy Genesis games? Most major retailers don't carry them, and I miss Bubsy.

If figures that I lost one of the best (and probably the largest) Genesis games.

Oh, and Sonic and Knuckles broke. The dust really piles up in that cartridge.

I remember lock-on. It made games more amusing. Or Blue Sphere.

I HOPE YOU DO
