I dont really give a crap about self promotion, (if you're sub'd please unsub) and YT doesn't pay me. I only want you to watch the first 41 seconds (the speed run equiped is half assed, and just to make it TSC compliant) this is completely for propaganda reasons.

Emulators are horrible and promote inequality in our stats.
No one is superior on console.

THC98 I would like to sincerely thank you for your hard work. you brought to light something so many have tried, but failed to do, due to bashing, flaming, and eventually getting squashed/suspended/banned.
*high fives* you got the dreamcast emulator banned!
I hope you continue ur work and I wish you would expand into the dolphin and study, and eventually ban that, if not all emulators!
truth is the console for all emulators is the PC ( maybe mac or w/e too) there is hundreds of thousands of diferent graphics cards, cpus, and, motherboard, etc. combinations you can combine to these... there is a trillion possible inconsistencies.
and to the emulator advocates... I would like to say, this is were it has come to, orginally we simply wanted proof by video of your emulated run, just in case~ of inconsistencies. but you refused, and now a whole emulator has been banned with no exceptions. I expect the rest to follow suit, how long has the DC emulator been out and we just now discovered this? how long until the rest are banned?

Hello! welcome to 2015!
I read a topic some time ago on tsc about records that have stood for forever. I kept that in mind when I originally did ghost kraken with blaze on SRA, I wanted one of my records to join that group. but here in 2015 i've had a change of heart, I've been inspired by the commitment new players have put into the games, so I want to make a game of sorts of it.
from this point on I will post no new stats to SRA including I wont even work on it behind the scenes all my stats are current.
First person to take my boss leadership wins... uhh 35 bucks (assuming u have a paypal of course or some means of money transfer)
and who ever beats my ghost kraken with sonic FIRST wins 15 bucks
RULES: the first person to beat ghost kraken with sonic is an instant pay out, the person who takes my leadership takes the competition into crisis mode, there is a 2 week limit of a new leader to steal leadership or the game is over. the game will last 1 year. in the event of a tie dealer wins (me)

my first experience with sonic was when i was 4 or 5 years old and I got a sega gen for christmas that came with sonic 3d blast. I spammed the game to hell and back forcing my parents to destroy the game. looking back now im suprised ive never tried to do anything competitively with the game nowadays.
what I believe actually pushed me over the edge to be a true sonic fan was the sonic SatAM tv show, I was always amazed at how cocky, and arrogant sonic was; These arent traits people normaly like, but I loved them. to this day im still one of the sonic purest; hes still by far my favorite character, and a distant second being amy. mainly because she likes sonic, and anyone who likes sonic is cool with me. (shout outs to marine the raccoon being my 3rd favorite!)

easy, sonic rush night carnival boss with sonic, this is the source of all my evil. Everyone can get a good time except for me, even my blaze time is faster. This boss is mean; if you go to fast you lose, go to slow you lose, lose lose lose. I think this boss is a scam, and probably should be removed from the charts.

I've played that level for months & months at least once a day, whether it was figuring out the secrets or trying to get a new WR, I've been playing away on that boss. I played this level for at 2 hours on Thanksgiving at my uncle's house. (XD) My DSi's battery almost died that day, and all I did on it was play the AL boss.
If you like Al boss so much, it would be a wonderful christmas gift to see mike bumped off the boss charts completely by taking sonic, with that said I wanted to make sure you knew how to do this ...

For the sonic rush bosses. I know sonicandamy irl. He said the best tip for all the bosses is to constantly spin; keeping pressing left and right on the control pad inbetween hits where is looks like the character is spinning. he said while its still pretty random, spinning improves the chances of the boss doing something goofy.

idc if its 30 days old, this is the most offensive topic I've ever had the pleasure of reading. If I could I'd so buy this site up in a heartbeat and anyone with half a brain would do the same. the name' the brand, "the soniccenter" has an enormous untapped potential base, that could be released "ready anytime."~
I wont even get into the discussion about streaming... I mean its not completely dead yet, there's room to grow a small group, but one mans booty can only get blasted/rektd/devastated so many times on air, and then its like.. we get it... enough. SRL will die

A long time ago I had a vision of implemting a system to tsc I called the "emerald system" and I had an actual professional mock up with working gifs and neatly fitted them into the charts... basically I was gona rip off tsc and make my own site using this. but I never did and lost the mock up, but it basically looked like this...

now work with me here... how I had it, the names of 1st,2nd,and 3rd place were expanded to fit their emerald (3rd big, 2md bigger, 1st biggest).
this system would work as a different thing form sitewide rankings instead of replacing. I always saw sitewide rankings as kinda troll because, correct me if im wrong but it is technically its still possible to be sitewide champion without having a championship. (think about it, 2nd place in every chart on tsc)?
I always thought this system would honor those who try to be the best, instead of just simply flooding charts with half assed stats.
basically how this would work is for ever 1st, 2nd, or, 3rd place you got the site would award you with a master, super, or, chaos emerald.
Also if you tie a record or your record gets tied your emerald turns into a negitive emerald (as seen in sonic adventure).
how this works:
master emerald> negative master> super emerald> negative super> chaos emerald> negitive chaos
the purpose of this is to make sure elite players dont get owned by say... sondow sonic 3d blast ring chart garbage.

I think this is a big enough deal to consider this tsc 4.0 which I would like if possible for someone to create a new skin to celebrate?
on the flip side I would like to see when choosing to show emulated stats that your TSC version reverts to 3.9 with a little cob web on the sonic center sign in the top left... I dont think thats to much to ask?
alternatively you could just force the bad future skin when allowing emulated stats, and force good future skin when disabling them, if creating a whole new skin for the new tsc is to big of a task.

« on: April 14, 2014, 07:18:33 pm »1. Version differences - When you go to submit a stat, after selecting your game, you will be asked what platform you played the stat on. You can select any of the systems the game was released on, or emulator (where applicable). If you played on an emulator, you'll be asked to enter which emulator specifically you used. These will be displayed on the charts in the form of an extra column listing what version the stat was performed on.
2. Proof - You will be able to attach proof to a stat on the stat confirm screen, in the form of either a video, a picture, or an emulator input file. Small files (pictures/input files) can be uploaded to the site directly. Larger ones (like videos) will need to be uploaded to an external site and linked. This'll be shown on the charts as an extra column with a small icon linking to the proof. Any stat with any proof attached to it will be considered a "proven" stat, regardless of the type. Proving stats is not required. However, unproven stats will be displayed less prominently on the charts (similarly to how it works on the ZSR leaderboards).
3. Charts filtering - This is what makes the above two features worth it. All stats will be displayed by default. However, there'll be a few new controls on chart view pages, allowing you to filter what stats you want to see and which you don't. Here's a few of the controls I have in mind:
a. Version - You can filter the charts so that only stats played on a particular version of the game are shown.
b. Emulators - You can choose to hide stats performed on emulator.
c. Proof - You can filter to only display stats with proof, or filter out picture proof as well to only show videos.
compromise of a compromise of a compromise.
Actually I like this though, because this action still pushes a user more towards console considering that their stat can be(and will be by me) disabled and outcast. While at the same time streamlining what stats may need to be looked into thoroughly and thrown out.
Perfect; this is perfect good job.
I guess the only question I have is will there be a way to link proof to stats that have already been submitted?
also will there be an option to update your current stats to what console you used?

I think the only con I have is potentially giving site wide points to submit proof, up to 10% seems high just to prove your legit. :/ but I understand that's not set in stone if anything just make the % lower.

in detail supersonic / boost asap (obviously). try to do low jumps over trip plates (not sure if that help tho) after the 5th trip plate dont jump over the 6th and right before you land in part 2 boost u have to play with this. do nothing until part 3 and dont do anything until around EDIT: (Had the wrong time up)1:23:50 ~1:24:00 ( this is the main part you have to play with) and boost during this time (and not before that time). keep in mind ive never done this on console

did this for fun and also hopes this eases tension.
(this part is serious though)
got this time via emulator all I can tell you about this stat is I got 2:03:36 about 7 times, and was never able to go any lower. (not that its not possible)
CURRENT THREAT LEVEL: mildly-low
report to the princess:
I will mention that while I was never able to obtain this time on a console, yet I got/ keep getting this time fairly easy on emulator. I still think the threat level is low considering I was never able to go lower then 2:03:36 on emulator. Until someone can beat this I think the threat should be maintained at mildly-low

got this time via emulator all I can tell you about this stat is I got 2:03:36 about 7 times, and was never able to go any lower. (not that its not possible)

I will mention that while I was never able to obtain this time on a console, yet I got/ keep getting this time fairly easy on emulator. I still think the threat level is low considering I was never able to go lower then 2:03:36 on emulator. Until someone can beat this I think the threat should be maintained at mildly-low

If I understand correctly you are more for scrapping the new rule parax purposed in favor of employing more trusted members to monitor stats?
that is something. It's better then nothing, now this site is about anyone calling out bs if you truely believe a stat is bs. I believe that maybe the disconnect here. Is it because people are to scared of being wrong, even though there is a better chance that they are right, to call out a stat in fear of being embarrassed? if calling more memebers "trusted memembers" helps (which I think might) so be it. I defer to my comment that its better then nothing.
I do want to put out though I severely hate cyberscore... but one thing they do, do right is anonymously calling bs.
