Rules Revisions / Re: About Sonic Unleashed PS3/360 night scores...
« on: June 14, 2009, 04:42:21 pm »
You can't get Empire City on the Wii/PS2 version.  Therefore it should be banned.

SU360/PS3 and SUWii/PS2 may be different versions with 360/PS3 having an extra area... but the two versions have two separate charts.

On a more serious note...

All of these levels have either Big Mothers or Healing Wizards in them, and thus will require nuking of their score charts:

Savannah Citadel 2
Cool Edge 1
Dragon Road 1
Dragon Road 2
Rooftop Run 1
Arid Sands 1
Jungle Joyride 1
Jungle Joyride 2

DLC:
Dragon Road 1-2
Dragon Road 3
Rooftop Run 2
Cool Edge 2
Cool Edge 3
Savannah Citadel 3
Windmill Isle 1-2
Windmill Isle 1-3
Arid Sands 2

Eggmanland has those Healing Wizards as well.

Is there a specific time you need to restart?
I cannot get it to work on SC4.

Yes.

When you hit the switch and temporarily lose control of Sonic... while the camera is moving to show you what exactly the switch did.

EDIT: It looks like this glitch works only for the PS3 version as DsS was able to get it to work as well. However, that might change once the Apotos/Shamar DLC is downloaded.

Ignore the double post.

I discovered what causes this glitch... or at least I think I did.

This glitch also happened to me in Cool Edge Day 4.

Do you recall when you activate a switch and then the game locks the controls temporarily so that the camera shows you what the switch is for? If you restart during that, you'll have free movement when Sonic says "Here we... GO!" before the timer actually starts.

It doesn't work in Night stages though.

Please Think, How Can I Post Evidence When I FINISH The Run, Such Nonsense`

Easy... when you're about to select the stage, it tells you your best time and score. As for Rings... you'll just have to run through the stage and count how many Rings you collected before touching the Goal Ring.

(Or when the total is being added up, you can take off 2 zero's off the end of the score you get from Rings in the Result Screen.)

I am NOT bothered wasting my time rather than racking some new records :/
I beat Corneliabs record by using all his skills to mine to combine a Severe tragical win, I AM NOT BOTHERED I AM NOT EVEN ON PHOTOBUCKET ~ THINK!!!! :/

Then consider getting an account on Photobucket to show us that you got those times.

More importantly, the Goal Ring does not count toward your Ring total. This means your stat on Windmill Isle 1 Day should be 241, not 242.

I dont have a recorder, No offense

NOTE; I am not Draciball on YouTube

Even so... the Goal Ring does NOT count towards your Ring total.

You'll still have to find some way to verify that you actually acquired those records.

Well... it was random... and Mazuri Day 4 is the only stage it has occured on (for me, anyway), so... I don't really know.

when this happened was the game patched?

I don't think so.

If you got it to happen on a DLC stage, the game was patched (since you can't play DLC stages with the game unpatched).

Oh... that's what you meant.

I did say "Mazuri Day 4" and that IS a DLC stage...

...

I suppose this glitch isn't significant enough for anything to be done about it?

Don't bother wasting your time questioning the validity of seemingly-impossible stats. Apparantly, methods have been found to reach such high scores. That, and a bit of practice and persistence on the players' part are involved.

A little something happened to me while I was trying to S-Rank one of the DLC stages (so I could post stats) and I believe I should make it known.

I do not know if this has already happened to anyone else, but while I was trying to S-Rank one of the DLC stages (specifically Mazuri Day 4)... I restarted the stage because... well... I was going for an S-Rank and didn't like how it was going.

I restarted the stage a few times and I eventually found myself able to control and move Sonic during the part when he says "Here we... GO!" before the timer started.

This happened twice for me.

I did restart the stage again both times and everything went back to normal.

Wait... shouldn't the Cool Edge DLC Day Acts be 1-2, 2-2, 3, and 4? Because there's only 1-2, 2-2, 4, and 5 for Cool Edge DLC Day.

Or perhaps I should simply treat the 4 on the chart as a 3 and the 5 as a 4?

Oh you're right, i made a small mistake in my Post for DLC charts (made it 4 and 5 not 3 and 5 <_<), sorry rolken XD

Don't you mean "3 and 4"?

I've just checked the Playstation Store again and it appears that there is now just as much DLC on the PS3 as there is on the 360.

Both now have Chun-nan, Spagonia, and Holoska DLC.

(This is for those who were not aware.)

Or they could be working on EML DLC XD

Make a fun (for me)/hard stage even harder. Nice. =P

I'm actually a bit curious to see if they will make an Eggmanland DLC package. =P

...

What? I like the stage.

Well... when I"m not trying to go for a hi-score run, that is. =P

But then there are those who don't know what "DLC" means... I've seen a few on YT and don't know if any of those kind of people are here on TSC.

Couldn't you make extra columns for them, though?

Like: "DLC-Times", "DLC-Rings", "DLC-Scores"

...or something like that. Or perhaps add them to the normal list but have "DLC" in paranthesis. Like... under the "Level" column, it could say... "Cool Edge 1-2 (DLC)"

Just thought I'd make a few suggestions.

Not only that, but the bonus you get every 10-15 hit Combo's which gives you more and more points each time.

Oh, okay. I get it.

The Enemies on EML didn't spawn fast enough to get points off of,
While the enemies on RR:N1-2 respawn fast enough to give you and infinite combo

I think I get it what you're saying... that defeating them doesn't get you points... but because of how fast they respawn... you could keep your counter at 99+, which, in turn, increases your overall score at the end since the total score includes "combos".

Right?

Ok right now i checked every stage
Right now only 2 (day and night) acts have problems (that i know of)

Chun-nan

Day:
Act 1-2: times/rings/scores
Act 2-2: times/rings/scores
Act 4: times/rings/scores
Act 5: Times (respawning rings)

night:
Act 1-2: Times/rings/scores
Act 3: Times/rings/scores

Spagonia

Day:
Act 1-2: times/rings/scores
Act 2-2: times/rings/scores
Act 4: times/rings/scores
Act 5: Times/rings/Scores

Night:
Act 1-2: times/rings (Respawning enemies)
Act 3: times/rings/scores

Holoska

Act 1-2: times/rings/scores
Act 2-2: times/rings/scores
Act 4: times/rings/scores
Act 5: times/rings/scores

Night:
Act 2: times/rings/scores
Act 3: times/rings/scores

i will double check later,
or we can just wait until the next dlc is out

I can see that respawning Rings would be bad, but what's the issue with the respawning enemies? Wouldn't it be like those two areas in Eggmanland with infinite robots that don't give any score whatsoever? Or did you check and the respawning enemies in Spagonia Night 1-2 do continue to give you a higher score as well?

I just looked it up on Playstation Network and it appears the PS3 version also has the Spagonia DLC.

EDIT: I checked the prices of each Adventure pack and each package costs $2.99 without tax.

Onomatopoeia - sound words (ex: BOOM!, CRASH!, BANG!, etc.)

Information Kiosk / Re: Sonic Unleashed PS3/360_Eggmanland Ring Division?

shrug
Make a rule like the SA2B hunting stages.  Don't count any rings on the belt.

I don't think people will remember to count the number of Rings collected on the belt. Plus, the Boost is likely to be used and will attract nearby Rings to avoid running the risk of the belt sending the player into a bottomless pit.

Nuke the score charts quick!  I'm planning on doing a score run with a massive amount of rings from the conveyor belt.  I'm planning on finishing the stage with a ring count of...oh...I don't know...

OVER 9000!!!!!!!!!

...

At least I'll have the highest score (without extended use of the conveyer belt... you could probably take 2000-3000 points and that probably would be what my actual score is if the conveyer belt is not to be counted).

Ah. Thanks.

Again, I didn't really know since I've never started a new topic on this site (not counting this one).

Oh, that's right... I forgot all about that...

Well... I never stick around on that conveyer belt anyway. And the lack of a scores division on that stage would probably burst my bubble about my current hi-score. (in terms of score records on this site on that particular stage)

« on: February 24, 2009, 05:11:03 pm »
(Note: First forum post I ever put on this site... Had to get that out of the way.)

I would like to ask why there isn't a Ring Division for Eggmanland. Is there any particular reason as to why it doesn't exist? (not that I'm complaining)

I'm just a little curious.

(Also, since I've almost never started forum topics, I obviously don't know if this one is in the right place... and I'm sure there's a really obvious way that has been said and I didn't look at it yet for whatever reason.)
