thought I should bump this.  I've been asking this question since this was first discovered, and of course still nobody tells me.  *sigh* Obviously, there's no way you have 20 seconds on me out of just technique (especially since it's only 10 seconds difference on 280).  Also, I've been karting for way longer than you, those times up there were gotten way back in the day when I had no competition--except for possibly my 101 time, which although it's not good by any means--it's not 20 seconds off like that, especially with tails's kart), and I bet somebody told you how to do it.  Now before I have to assume that your (and everyone else around you) times here are completely fake, just tell me already, jeez.  What's the deal with all the secrecy anyway?  I know you fear me, but why is it that big of a deal?  It just really frustrates me, when I beat everyone's times by that much; I tell everybody, and now it seems like everybody wants to whoard whatever strats they have to feel like, which of course just makes me doubt it even moreso.

we have a SSBM rankings (among others) over at

We currently don't have many people playing that game at the moment.

the biggest SSBM one is the one off the gamefaqs board, but that only has records mainly.

The only bad thing about cyberscore is that they don't have the overwhelming majority of good players.  The best bet is to get some people from here who want to play the same game as you, and get a rivalry page up and compete amongst yourselves (I did this before I competed in mariokart64).

So far, I've seen only two forums that support an arcade, and since this is one of them... well you get the idea.

I think the major thing is that you most likely already have those things that the NGage has(especially fm radio...), and there's better handheld gaming for a cheaper price.

in my NTSC GC one--it depends on how many rings you have before getting the balloon.  Or at least, that's what I've noticed.

edit--I just posted some of my old racing times and mine for 280 mission 2 is in 2nd place--so the strat is figuring out at what ring count you need before grabbing the balloon so you get more rings...  Man those were some old times--I was just competing to what I could get.  BTW--what's the secret to getting a good 101 overall time on mission 1--as my time is really bad in comparison there.

edit2--I'll go through some of my times and if I see anything that's above 20 I'll probably post it; but since I didn't work on those levels very much, I doubt it.  I did some work on those racing levels (what's the secret to the standard track?--I remember I crashed on my expert run--so for now I'll believe that one, lol)

well the trade was almost a wash for both squads actually.  Although A-rod was the mvp--they gave up soriano, who had better road stats than a-rod did last season.  Other than the massive upgrade defensively between the two.  The yankees didn't really get that much greater.

The flip side--Texas is still paying 10 mil a year on a-rod's deal, and 5 mil a year on soriano's.  So they save 10 mil this season, but if revenues decline by 10 mil because they traded him away, they basically did nothing.  Plus getting rid of juan gonzalez and others couldn't have helped the team's performance this or next season--we'll see how they fare a few years down the road when they don't have to pay so much of a-rod's deal.
