Competition Central / lava reef 2 zip

I recently started speed running sonic and knuckles, and I want to attempt the zip in the beginning of lava reef two (the glitch where you run underneath the signpost and get pushed into the ground). however most of the time the box does not appear when the signpost lands, so I'm curious as to how to consistantly allow the box to appear. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've been thinking of doing a glitchless run of sonic 2, but I'm curious as to what defines a glitch. i'm only asking this because of levels like oil ocean act 1 where one can roll through various platforms to benefit the route.

Competition Central / Death abuse during IL's

I was reading over the competition rules for sonic 2 earlier, and I didn't see any mention of death abuse. So I was wondering whether or not death abuse is allowed in IL's.

Competition Central / Chemical plant act 2 speed route

hey guys i'm new here and i just started playing sonic 2 a couple days ago, but in chemical plant i'm stuck with 23's and 24's. the route i take is in the following link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sfwa6na_YiU   If anybody has any suggestions that would be great
