Title: Er, S3K Ring/Score Question
Post by: Spinballwizard on November 08, 2005, 08:53:00 pm
No, really, I do. Just for the heck of it.

Let's say, for example, that the falling signpost leaves a super ring powerup at the end of an act. Am I allowed to open that once the next act begins? (Essentially beginning that act with 10 rings) Or do I have to open it during the act it appeared? (This, of course, does obey the max 1 hit of the signpost while in midair. I'm mainly asking, because if you defeat the MH1 boss at its normal "chopping" position, one appears.)

EDIT: Also is collecting large rings legal in the score division as it is in the Ring division provided all emeralds have been collected and super/hyper forms aren't used?

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too.

you could open it anytime you want, I'd assume

it's more of a trick then anything

so if it counts towards act 1 AND act 2, then you could do it once for a ring bonus for act 1 and ring bonus for act 2

Once you open it, it's done so you'll have to choose, wheither for Act 1 or 2, but if the large rings are fair game, then I don't see way the signpost rings aren't better yet. S3&K has too much controversy with Rings, it's why I never bothered to do Rings. D:
