I just started speedrunning Sonic 1 on osx, using OpenEmu's built in Genesis emulator and OBS video streamer/recorder. I started doing all of this while soniccenter was down, so I wasn't able to make a user or search the forums for any info on how to record qualifying vids during the time that I got my first stats. OBS seems to record pretty good, and to the best of my knowledge OpenEmu does not have a built in recorder. I'm flying back home tomorrow so I'll post the vids I was able to take and you guys can decide how I should go forward in the future. So far I've only gotten gh1 in 25, gh2 in 14, gh3 in 30 something, and marble 2 in 11.
Thoughts?
