Would the site allow it if I did a score attack (or whatever the term is) of Green Hill Zone in Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis on GBA? I will use emulator I will submit a video if needed. and cross my heart will not cheat.
-
The GBA version is not allowed for competition
-
Ok what about Tails Adventure or the Game gear games?
-
Are you talking about an emulator that emulates a rom on your GBA, or the officially sold game Sonic Genesis GBA?
-
Emulator to emulate rom but before anyone gets all mad for using the cursed emulators I have reasoning.
For one I have no clue where my GBA is and this game is probably hard to find and for the Game Gear. Same thing except I do not have a game gear.
-
If it's just an emulator then its fine
-
Wait a minuet I just noticed you said a emulator ON your gba no a computer emulator but I wont be doing speed I will be doing scores. Hope that is accepted, and I will make sure to have video proof.
-
you aren't being very clear, Are you emulating a game on the computer, and what ROM are you emulating?
-
Ok here is my description
Game: Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis (GBA)
Type of run: Score.
Emulator on Computer.

You should read the rules of competition:
http://www.soniccenter.org/submit/rules
Emulators are fine, rereleases as well. In some cases the rereleases are updated and they become a new competition game such as Sonic 1 2013 or Sonic CD 2011.
If you use an emulator of the original console, it has to run at full speed and provide an adequately correct emulation. No features exclusive to the emulators such as savestates are allowed of course.
Other than that you should also read the rules for the individual game you're submitting stats for.

2 things what does "adequately correct emulation" mean and there are no rules for the game I am going to do.
