Would it be possible for you to add leaderboards for hacked games - like the ones on sonic retro - http://info.sonicretro.org/Sonic_hacks#Sega_Mega_Drive
There are alot but I think it would be good if you added them for the best ones - like Tails in sonic 1, knuckles in sonic 1, Sonic Boom and others listed on the link above
You may want to add an extra segment for them if you dont want the times to affect the official game's leaderboards, but it's up to you

^ Man, petitioning for something hack-related on a web site, and you don't even mention an admin's hack (http://sonic2retroremix.weebly.com/)? Bribery fail.
Anyway, we used to have a section of the site just for hacks, but it suffered from constant updates to the games in question, lack of player interest, and all-around disorganization.
