Ready or not, here comes Emerald Challenge #5!
It's been a while since I've made you suffer. In fact I haven't heard complaints since the Blue challenge. Time for me to step it up a bit. I saved the toughest colors for last!
Pink's theme, Defense, has always been the bane of several experts on this site. Novices may find these type challenges easier as they are often caught in survival scenarios, whereas the Time and Score attackers native to this site find themselves struggling. The reversal of fortune that this theme brings is nothing short of comical.
Even with this Chaos-level challenge, I intend to uphold that tradition, with a challenge that looks ridiculously easy at first glance, yet will force you to struggle until you learn the necessary steps to shield yourself and the AI partner to the bitter end. By the way, emphasis on "bitter end." You'll know what I mean when you try it.
(http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h376/spindashmaster/pink_chaos_sdm.gif)Pink Chaos Emerald Challenge: As Sonic and Tails together in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, complete Angel Island Zone, Act 2 without either character incurring damage.
If either character incurs damage or if Tails is seen flying or swimming (especially to return to where Sonic is), the run is invalid.
Damage is defined by being put in a blinking state, and/or dying.
Tails may not be human-controlled.
The challenge is complete when the capsule at the end of the stage is opened. You may stop recording then.

Did my usual tests first (Tails is a retard, especially at the interlude part) but after that this took one try. Done in 2:14, this was a good level of difficultly for a chaos though.

Yes, I'm sure that casual players care so much about having the AI partner avoid damage. >_>

<OI, I oughtta.... meh, gg. My point about this theme isn't that casual players know how to do the challenge per se, but rather that they find it easier than an expert will. But I digress. -SDM>

You have to play slowly and patiently, S&I. As long as you try to rush through this one, you're risking Tails's neck. I'm not testing just your ability to control 1 character here. That's too obvious. You have to be able to protect yourself and your AI buddy, which is technically controlled by your delayed input. If you can't step up and do that, it only speaks on your behalf: What's gonna happen when you find yourself unable to do Super Pink? It won't be any easier, I assure you.
