In the Sonic Stadium website, I've found an article on the Top 10 Sonic games of the decade. Check it out.

This feels weird when the whole Sonic franchise has only lasted all of two decades.

Anywayz, you know my choice.

Anyone who doesn't pick SA2, SA1, or Rush is why this franchise has died.

I pick SA2

SA, SR, and ShTH. Although the 2d games of this decade are great, they fall into a lot of common pitfalls (and these pit falls started with the SAdv generation). The first is the "sea of pits" syndrome. IIRC, this was pretty rare in the old school games. Sure pits existed, but the levels back then weren't just platforms over a whole sea of them. The second pit fall is the over use of "cheap shots" due to not being able to see a threat in time to react to it. The solution is quite simple: give  the player a larger view of the level. This would drastically cut down on the amount of  trial and error gameplay that has seemed to plague later installments.

Shadow the Hedgehog is probably one of the most unfairly maligned games of the decade. If anything, it was doomed the moment the trailer came out. I'd write down some points defending the game, but that would take a while and derail the topic. Maybe some other time. 06 on the other hand is a glitchy unfinished piece of beta garbage that shows just how little ST cares about its fans. A good patch (perfectly viable with DLC) could have fixed most of what was wrong with the game.

Rush Adventure and Sonic Advance 3 were both better than Rush.

I'd say SA2 though.

I love Sonic Rush, Rush Adventure, Sonic Unleashed Wii/PS2, Sonic and the Secret Rings and all the Sonic games on the Genesis.

Well, it's either Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, mainly because of the story and Chao Garden or Shadow actually because I actually like the gunplay. As of right now, I like playing Sonic Unleashed, a really good 3D Sonic game for a lil while now.

Most addictive games of the decade, huh?
Well DEFINITELY SADX, SA2B and Heroes! And heck were the two riders games addictive!

Unleashed and Colors were addictive too, and at one stage I was stuck into the three advance games for quite a while. And when Sonic 4 Episode 1 came out recently, I was just playing that game for the next 2 months.

Ive never played Next-Gen, Secret rings, black knight or Shadow the Hedgehog (yeah, screw me), and I never really got stuck into the rush games, or any other sonic games made this decade. But not dissing them or anything!!

P.S. That warning about the 30 days and the necromancy when I try to sometimes post a comment is a bit... awkward.

This warning is not a joke. Please stop posting in old topics unless you have something significant to add. Most of your posts in old topics have amounted to "yeah, I agree" and don't warrant updating the topic. If you want to start a new topic of discussion, feel free, but don't try to revive older ones without a good reason.
