You present 1:03.19 on the prototype, and link it to this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3l26-3iTWrw). Sure that video shows a 1:03.19...
...to me, it also shows autofire.
First off, I just ran a test of the homing attack in SA2. It turns out that after a jump, if you press A again within four frames, that A press is completely ignored. Homing attack A presses need to be at least 5 frames apart.
That said, after looking through the frames of that video, the homing attacks are consistent with 5...5...5...5 every time. Notably, this includes the one at the beginning for the acceleration boost, and there are no other jumps during "dead time" segments between hits. The only jumps/bounces that aren't followed 5 frames later by homing attacks are the ones into the lizard, and those don't appear to be particularly high jumps--as though it was a tap of A, released within 4 frames.
Of course, even the predators who walked into Chris Hansen's house got a chance to defend themselves, so if you have anything to say, now's your chance.

The rules don't say anything about autofire being banned, actually. Might want to fix that.

They used to, but it mysteriously vanished when the general rules were rewritten.

*ahem*
Straight from the general rules.

Hello budys, sorry to keep your waiting, I didn't know about this topic before DarkSpinesSonic tell me.
My english it's not so good, because all that I know I learn playing games, listening musics and watching movies.
So, what I do in the biolizard is "shake" my fingers as fast as possible to do continuous homing attacks, I don't know if "shake" is the right word to use to what I do, an example is, when you feel cold you body shakes right ? Is that right o.o' ? I don't know if is the right word.
I learn how to shake since I started to play guitar hero 1,2,3 on expert on the dual shock normal ps2 controller, some songs are so hard and pressing the button normal is impossible to beat(example: TTFAF, knights of cyndonia, holiday in cambodia, the way ot ends...), and shaking make it easy to beat.
So 2 bosses on the SA2B(my favourite game =D) you can do this, those bosses are biolizard and finalhazard, you shake your finger to do it quickly.
So there it is, I upload a video of me shaking my fingers, but some people think it is fake, I'm using a camera of a cell phone with 2.0 megapixels and it cannot record the shake, on the video seems to be my fingers are not moving.
If you guys tell me an example to video that I could record to prove and show how I do the "shake", I can record it ^^
Hope you guys understand it...

the user for those videos is gu1tarher0. Care to explain what happened there?
-
I watched the video, and it doesn't seem autofire to me.
By the way, he says he done it with DC controller. I tested with both Gamecube and Dreamcast controllers, and it seems a lot easier to get that speed with DC controller.

It's easy with both...

If Jawzun clarified that it can be done, it can probably be done. :P
-
i think its possible to do that without autofire, but only on the dreamcast though
-
It doesn't depends on what plataform you choose, it's only a matter of how fast you can push a button, this can be done in GC, in DC and even in a PC's keyboard, I do this too, I've started with this a long time ago on sonic 2 to put more rings faster with debug mode, it's simple as son1cgu1tar said, just needs some pratice, now I can push a button 12 times per second and I can say it's totally possible to do what he did this way.

In case nobody even bothered to check his channel, he posted an explanation vid.
