Another race! S3K! Because it rocks
May be Sonic or Knuckles yet, undecided

This turned out to be a Knuckles race.
SUMMARY:
AIZ goes as planned, with everyone neck and neck, me in front.
HC1 looks to go the same way, but RPG actually GAME OVERS there. Everyone fails at HC2 but me, and I head into Marble Garden while most people are barely halfway through the stage (the lone exception is DsS, who is still a good 30 seconds behind me).
Marble Garden 1 goes as planned, but the first real trainwreck of my run comes up in MG2. I attempt to preform the zip over the top of the level, but fail once, and although I succeed the next time, get killed by a drill from the boss. During this time, AD throws in the towel, having just finished HC2. Somehow, SBW, DsS, and I all line up going into CN1.
I outdistance them both over CN and IC, but LB1's boss kills me 6 FUCKING TIMES and we line up again going into LB2, where SBW loses his last life.
Surprisingly, DsS and I keep even for MH, but in FB and beyond shit gets real and I wind up like five minutes ahead. I go into SS with 2 lives.
I then gameover, and DsS remains the only one who crosses the damn finish line.

Here's my Knuckles run. Some good, some terrible, all entertaining!
Of particular note is MG2, where I spent a solid two minutes trying to get into the section of the level whereby you do the glitch, then gave up and took the normal route instead... and got the spring glitch first attempt.

Since no one was cool enough to join our Hyper Sonic race, Josh, Fuzzerd, and I ran it ourselves. Josh used Mega Collection, so I assume he had more lives and continues >_>
Meanwhile, Fuzzerd and I had our own save file that gave us three lives anf five continues.
Josh failed the CN boss <_< (Instashielding is not lame >_>)
I finished second (CURSE YOU LB2 TIME OVER! Not that I had a good chance of winning after Launch Base)
And Fuzzerd finished... well, take a guess >_>
I have to say that a Hyper Sonic race is nothing but fun and all the cool people should race one next time. See for yourself!
(Note: Skip past Sky Sanctuary and the first boss encounter of LR2. The former I just wanted to see if I could try to get done with the level faster without knowing the conditions, and the latter... take a guess)
EDIT: Whenever this gets done again, use the savestate here so we all start with the same amount of lives and continues.

Well an S1 run through today with the new GO rule brough these results:

4th: Me :D (1 game over)
5th: JDGA (1 gameover SY3 - quit)
6th: Achlys (1 gamover ??? - quit - late start)
7th: SkyL (3 game overs L1 - quit)
Even though i game overed i still finished. Also the reason why me recording cuts out at Labyrinth and GH1 is because there was confusion as to where i continued from. Turns out everyone quit so i continued from Final Zone unrecoreded and finished.

After epic bullshit (the game froze in HT2, while I was just ahead of werster and just behind mike), I then restarted the game 10 minutes later when koshi cleared CP2
