Title: ITT TSC had a race through S3K!

Achlys, myself and SJ all participated

Achlys took the lead in Angel Island, with myself and SJ following.

I did really shit and ended up a zone behind everyone else by Icecap, and SJ was ahead.

Achlys game over'd in Icecap.

SJ moved onto Mushroom Hill about the time I started Launch Base >_>

I caught him up slowly but surely, doing almost all of Sandopolis 2 in the dark because I didnt feel like turning the lights on <_<

I passed SJ and cleared Lava Reef before him, and was a little ahead after Hidden Palace!

Then I screenwrapped Sky Sanctuary and SJ didnt know how and I got really far ahead :( Then he game over'd :(

But I valiantly carried on and completed the game! Even after an embarassing death against eggman running away with the master emerald >_>

All in all fun times

That sounds fucking fun.
I assume this just occured in the chat, right?

It'd be awesome to be able to do it streaming on Mogulus or something (one stream each, spectators watching all three at once, though I doubt competitors would be able to watch their opponents and still have enough bandwidth to be able to stream smoothly themselves).

Um, yeah, I was there at the time. I "would have tried" if I wasn't completing my run of it anyways... (They started at about the same time I started DE1)

Anyways, "I" completed the game (with only a 'little bit' of savestate abuse) at about the same time they got to the S&K levels. I would so do it again, except I'd fail miserably.

EDIT: In related news, I finally decided to be rid of those savestates (>_<) and did a "console" run-through of Sonic 1. YAY ME!!!/me shot

Why did this not catch on sooner. I mean seriously, I've been trying to get these things going for years.

well the good majority of us participating need to stop sucking.  mainly not dying to stupid shit and getting game overs isn't a good race :(

Also, I think this would be a fun way to compete in Megaman games...  I want details of how this all works...
