I believe that if we set written goals for our future competition accomplishments, then competition here at TSC might get a little better (it has been a little lackluster as of late) (alliteration anyone?). Doubtless it would make a few of us more motivated to reach our goals, because stating them is essentially making a commitment. And the more competition the better, right?
With that said, here are my goals:
SADX: 88% or higher
approx. 200 points total in times
improve scores and rings by 75 points
pass Jawzun on races
stop sucking at bosses
pass Stefan overall
SA2:B: buy it, and start competing
sub 2-mins for CE m1
close to record for CE m3
improve metal harbor, missions 1, 2, 3, last
use new green forest tactics for a sub 1:40
learn some other level strats
HEROES: move up to a respectable rank
submit all times
submit rings/scores
S1,S2,S3: destroy violently
explosives are a definite plus
SADV3: get an orange rank
Eventually, I hope to enter the top 20 in sitewide. So, what are you guys planning to do?

My goals:
-Get a new TV (I need this one first to do the rest).
-Make sub 1 minute on Emerald Coast.
-Get the Scores leadership on SADX.
-Pass Stefan on SA2B (like I did a long time ago on SADX).
-Improve every Sonic time record on SADX and vid them (except Final Egg).
-Have fun with Sonic Heroes to get points to my sitewide ranking.

Just make sure my Final Rush record never gets broken.

EVENTUALLY (keyword) I want to finish Sonic 1 RAs. Except for Scrap Brain 3.

My main goal:
To be a pro in Sonic 06 so I'm going to try and be ranked 3rd in the overall chart. So I'm going to set little goals.
Sonic 06 rings:
In the yellow, will try to get to orange, so will need 146 points.
Sonic 06 Scores:
In the blue, will try to get to green, so will need 86 points.
Sonic 06 Times:
In the blue,will try to get to green, so will need 419 points.
Since there are less points in the scores, I'll be concentrating on those first.

Hey, it worked!
I completed one goal already, and now I'm closer to where I should be in SADX races (sorry Jawzun).
But when I get my gamecube, I'll aim for sub 50 points on races.

1. Pick any game that I own and compete in, I want to get perfect rings on all of them (first place on all but SADX and SA2B because of version differences). Same for SSR Ring Chains. I expect this to be the hardest on Sonic Heroes, as that requires some truly nasty work with stuff like the thunder targets, rainbow rings, and Team Chaotix in general. <_<
2. First place scores in S3D. This seems reasonably feasible, as in "get all the rings but faster darnit". Times would be nice too, but I've never done well at time attacking. Though do note my ONE white time is Volcano Valley 3.
3. Get under 30 seconds on ALL the emerald hunting missions. This will take extreme amounts of practice, but it really ticks me off how much SM can really exploit these. I mean really, NOBODY STANDS A CHANCE IN HECK on any hunting M1.
4. Fill my stats. I had a really decent system going for awhile, but school caught up to me. But seriously, even a last place submission in every stat has the potential for (wild guess approaching) about two sitewide points. Besides - some of these are actually decent.
5. Get Gems Collection and Shadow the Hedgehog so I can actually compete in those, too.
6. Patiently await Sonic Unleashed until Christmas.

I really don't have much goals other than compete in other divisions besides TA's in the games i've started already.
Also waits until Sonic Battle times are available because there is no way i'm competing in scores on that game. >.>

On the note of Heroes, the only goal I can think to make for me right now is to improve my yellow time stats in the game.

I used to have a list in the future top twenty topic, but I stopped competing so almost all of that is gone now.

Re-take the Sonic 1 championship.
Break into the top ten of the Sitewide Rankings.
I expect to actually achieve neither >_>

Well, you are done with times (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_heroes/times/total/total). By the way, go for sub-140 minutes, you lazy ass! On a related note, yoshifan subbed 140 minutes on SA2B yesterday. Congratulations on that! :D

Get "Speed Demon".

Get "Points Do Matter".
100% Championship (Currently 84.5%)
Sonic Drift 2:
Finish up on times.
Possibly get a record or two in.
Get a red overall.

Done! It took so long. I was going to do the rings again but I'm doing so well with the scores, I'm going to keep doing them untill I get to the yellow section :D

My competition goals are these:

- Get over 90% on Sonic Advance (very easy)
- Get over 80% on Sonic Advance 2 (easy)
- Get over 80% on Sonic Advance 3 (normal)
- Get over 80% on Sonic Rush (hard)
- Get over 80% on SA(DX) (hard)
- Enter top 20 on sitewide rankings before the end of the year (very hard)
Yeah, I know these are many goals for such an inactive player. >_>
Also yeah, one of my goals is related to a game released for a non handheld console. <_<

My goals:
Get an Xbox 360!
Get any game that interests me on the Xbox360!
Get games for my DS.
Sonic Rush, Sonic and the Dark Brotherhood. Pokemon Diamond. New Super Mario Bros, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (DS version since I don't have a Wii). Super Mario 64 DS, and etc
Be in the top 10 for any Sonic game I choose to play. But I am not interested in Sonic games right now so that will not do me any good.

Oh and I will now go for a top10-20 in SA2 as well as 3rd place in Sonic2006 sometime (maybe even 2nd, but Da1 has always been a bit better than me...). But that can wait <_<

an old goal I had was to get 80% on SA2B to get in redzone overall, which is really quite easy it just takes time playing the things I do not like so much, rings scores and bosses..oh yeah and the hunting levels.
my biggest goal right now is all the sonic and shadow SA2 records.. but I am not so sure if I can maintain my aspiration since my records keep going down rapidly.

I don’t have enough time to play sonic games now, so for me it sounds like “what will I do if I cope with my laziness and organize my schedule to leave some time for competing”. If that happens, here are my competition goals:
Sonic Advance:
1) My main goal is actually to keep my leadership in Times. About a half of my times were done on emulator, so maybe I will buy a new GBA to improve them and make them close to perfect. For me it is more important than taking the championship, which is my second goal :P
2) Don’t you agree Zeupar?
Sonic Advance 2:
1) Fill time charts (hopefully my times will be as good as in Leaf Forest)
2) Get a perfect time on Egg Hammer Tank II as Sonic
Sonic Advance 3:
1) Fill ring charts and get #2 overall
2) Get a red time on Altar Emerald (I still wonder how Mike got his time using Sonic and Knuckles)
Sonic Heroes:
1) Ring attack all levels properly
2) Pass all extra missions (red or orange)
3) Get a red time on Casino Park with Chaotix
4) Get over 80% overall
Sonic Battle:
1) Fill score charts (yellow or better)

Going back to RAing. I will finish End of the World (Sonic 06), I only have Shadow's part left and need to get 227 rings to tie with Paraxade. Worked out a route for Shadow and found out that there are 241 rings in Shadow's part. Which means there are 617 rings (max) in End of the World not 603.
New goal:
Be the first Sonic 06 competitor to RA End of the World max O_O

Got my Heroes goal completed. Of the 4 stats that were yellow, 3 I orange'd or better in one completion. The other I apparently had orange'd a while back, since a better time was on my save.

lolwow, I forgot one:
0: Unlock everything in Secret Rings. I still have yet to unlock Green Hill in SA2B, and that will undoubtedly take me a LOT more effort, but that's what, one time one score one ring stat. Secret Rings I've unlocked all the charts, but if what I hear is true, I don't stand a fighting chance on most of the charts without certain skillz that I do not have. I'm currently lvl72 with all silver medals, so there's plenty of room for improvement. I think my next step is to level grind for awhile ... Evil Foundry + Expert Drift FTW (particularly the first "Hands Off" mission, EF3 I think)

Mine:
- To dominate Unleashed Bosses charts.
- Become number 1 in Rush Adventure
- Get Yellow Rank for Advance 2 and Rush
- Be in the top 50 for sitewide points.

and maybe buy another sonic game someday :P
