Title: ITT "All I know, I learned from TSC."
Post by: Cutiefox on October 16, 2008, 07:51:15 pm
Has TSC made any significant impact on your life?  Would you be disgustingly different if not for this lovely site?

Maybe you just learned something as little as a great shortcut or glitch in a game?

Discuss. :<

I learned that when you really get to know them, homicidal maniacs are actually quite awesome people.

I learned that it's entirely possible to mold a community of tender, flexible, accepting young minds without them even noticing themselves change.

I learned that it's entirely possible to mold maniacal, selfish, manipulative leaders without them even noticing themselves change by convincing them that they've molded a community of tender, flexible, accepting young minds without them even noticing themselves change.

I have learned the very secrets of Advance 3, having delved deep into the game.  I have also learned to experiment on Amy in Egg Rocket.  Overall, I'd say this is probably the only place where I've used my mind to work on deducing problems of paths and working out an acceptable solution.

I have also learned to love to shoot Dhaos. <_<
/me shoots Dhaos

Over time, I learned how not to be a dumbass.

I'm kinda still working on that though. >_>

On the topic of actual TSC I learned many things about the two adventure games, and also about games I couldn't get for myself but other people do have.

I learned that from Warmachine. One of my warcasters, Kommander Orsus Zoktavir, has an ability called "Homicidal Maniac."

Anywho oddly enough I learned from TSC that there are some really fail people out there.

And no, I'm not one of them.

TSC made me hate competing.  It destroys anything I ever liked about a game because while competing, I'll know way more than I ever wanted to and finally see the game for itself and how bad said game truly is.

With that said...I hate this site and the people I compete against.

SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT

I NEVER SWORE THIS MUCH!  THIS IS WHAT YOU TURNED ME INTO!  FUCK!

Sonic, as well as TSC, has been a huge part of my life...

Averting a suicidal path of logic, protecting me from the forceful methods of society, a showing that there is hope for humanity, a feeling of trust in the net that allowed for my current relationship to be fully recognized, a rebirth of honesty and pride, and an acceptance by people who, although I may never meet them, I consider family...

Also, a pretty cool place to show off ^_^

I loves me some TSC.

Bravo, Aita. Would've said that myself.

I learned from TSC that I am not as introverted as I thought, and that I love people. Up for mafia, anyone?

I learned it's always worth looking at things from many different angles and points of view, as most of the different sides have valid points as to why they feel about issues as they do. As a direct relation, I've realized it's unwise to state things in a "definite truth" fashion, as that may mentally shut out communications with others on an issue, creating unnecessary conflict and making it difficult to reach a compromise.

After this simple revelation, I've become less introverted over my time here at TSC and have gotten more comfortable expressing my opinions in general, always being sure to collect information from multiple sources and viewpoints on an issue before passing judgment and trying to express WHY I feel the way I do instead of just HOW.

Also, I learned winning isn't everything; it's the experience that really matters.

I learned to take risks
I learned that gamers can do the impossible
and that some people have nothing to do on weekends...

The only things I learned on TSC is to use my abilities to speed run and to do many other runs and to also try the impossible.

I'd also like to note that TSC has taught me that nothing is impossible...  Just because people thought it cannot be done does NOT mean they are right...

every day, records fall...  everyday, we get faster, smarter...

We seek perfection, and we're most certainly getting there...

Ah, but what is perfection, exactly?  How long did it take someone to get that last ring in Metropolis 3 Knuckles?

 ^_^

It took me about 5 minutes to work it out honest! I wouldn't lie!

Also, I have worked out how to to get all the rings in Flame Core (Silver) in Sonic 06. Paraxade had the record at 133 rings which is all the rings in the second section. However, I have found a way to reduce the risk of not getting hit by a fireball by about 95%. I've put it to the test and now the record is 295 rings :) Not bad eh? I know people aren't bothered by Sonic 06 anymore but I'm quite proud of working it out :D

What I have learned from TSC is to never give up. If I did I would never have gotten the records that I have destroyed in Sonic 06 :D

perfection is something like :24 GH1 or :14 GH2...  granted, they're a little less precise than the newer games, but that's not to say that there's much better to have...

Who's to say what perfection is?  Who knows...

But if someone annihilates a record of mine, that means that I was that much more flawed, and as such, I welcome the challenge...

that means that either 1) I can improve myself and be able to take a record or 2) there's an easier/faster way to beat said level... and either way, it means that the level is taking that much more of a beating... and that's NEVER a bad thing...

heh... I feel kinda bad for a few levels out there, honestly...  there's a point where annihilation takes on a new deffinition

...wow, serious? That's awesome. Flame Core is my most hated stage (followed closely by Crisis City).

I wouldn't call :14 GHZ2 perfect. :13 is definitely possible, just brain-clawingly ridiculously hard.

Douglas, it is my personal thought that you should stick to witty topic-wins instead of trying to actually try to fight points >_>
