If you haven't heard of it, there's been a 'Sonic 2 HD' team at Retro working for awhile to draw up new art and enginery, and they've made their first public release. Here's the forum topic (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=12056) (where you can download it) and a showoff image (http://sanik.hacking-cult.org/s2hd_tech.png). Pretty interesting stuff.

Someone post pics because I can't be arsed to download it.

I posted a pic with you in the channel, and there's one in Rolken's sentence XD.

Right, more than that though.

That one image is basically all there is to it (there are also different zoomed out versions but those don't have HD graphics yet). It's just a physics/graphics demo at this point.
Looks good, though I was getting choppy-ass framerates, but my laptop has really crappy graphics and I'm forcing it to output at a much higher res than I should be.
I'm wondering if they're going to in-between new animation frames. I feel they really should, to fit with such hi-res graphics.

Looks rather good, thus far...
I wish they'd leave in Grav Switch for competition, though... it looks like it'd be a total blast to do some TA/RA/SA with ^_^
