Blue Sphere isn't considered a competitive game? Can we change this please? I'm decent at old school Sonic games, but Blue Sphere is by far my favorite.
I'll even get some videos to you guys if Blue Sphere gets added. =D
-
Well... what is there to compete in? Once you get perfect, there's pretty much no room to improve.
-
There are 128 patterns in all (each level is comprised of four patterns), and once you figure out a safe path through each one, any stage is cake.
I'd say that given the code for any stage, just about any player here can successfully nail Perfect on that level within 24 hours.
-
It would just be fun to see who could get the highest, or maybe "elegant" contests, where people watch videos where players turn on red spheres, jump 12 red spheres, stuff like that.
-
Go ahead and set up videos, but there's no way to quantify accomplishments and rank the game.
What's "get the highest"? There's only one stage with the highest blue sphere count (#23411487), and it's readily available.

Blue Sphere as in Sonic 3's special stage? I doubt it is, because that would never work, but I've never heard of a Sonic game called Blue Sphere......

That would be Sonic & Knuckles locked on with Sonic 1.
-
Oh. Hm, I never did try locking S&K with Sonic 1..........what is the Blue Sphere challenge like?
-
Blue Sphere (the game that's created when you put S&K and Sonic 1 together) is just an infinte number of Sonic 3 Emerald stages. (EDIT: Not infinite; there's really only 128016000 of them) You just get the blue spheres. Even though the S&K manual says do not lock it onto Sonic 1, Blue Sphere is a game in Sonic: Mega Collection.
