Haha, pretty epic finish and nice comeback too. I wasn't expecting that to be actually entertaining.

Where the fuck have the Wiis gone? The store I work at had 7 of them not selling for weeks a month before Christmas, and now I'm gonna be forced to pay $350-$400 for one on eBay? Is the whole America doing like me and buying them for Brawl?
/me sad.

Quite frankly, yes.

I ... don't think they're buying them for Brawl.  I think it's for scalping.  Seriously, a month ago they were impossible to find as well.

Fuck, I hope I can get one for when Brawl comes out over here.

Well, I'm sure they'll be well in stock by 2011.

You guys didn't already get one for Secret Rings?! o.O

There we go, bought one for $360 total. I was about to just cancel my Brawl preorder but that video made me change my mind (they made Final Destination even more lovely).

I've already pre-ordered Brawl. That video makes me really want it, too o-o!

Only get a Wii once you have a 360 or PS3.
Really. It has like no real games.

It's true that the 360 and PS3 have much greater libraries and that the Wii's library is mostly full of stupid games (at least for hardcore gamers), but the Wii has Secret Rings And NiGHTS and that is reason enough to buy a Wii!

Hmm, actually I remember telling myself I'd only definitely get one if it looked like a decent number of real games were going to come out after Brawl.

What's the status on that? There's Mario Kart and...?

Other games in the Wii's future:

1. Games that are super-family friendly and aren't really games at all! (Wii Fit!)
2. PSP to Wii ports! (Death Jr.)
3. PS2 to Wii ports! (Okami!)
4. More EA Sports crap!
5. The inevitable crappy Sonic game!
6. Spore Wii! (well, it sounded like Will Wright actually cared about it at least)
7. 50 iterations of Crystal Chronicles (all of which are never coming out!)
8. Tales of Symphonia 2! (being developed by a studio completely unrelated to the original!)
9. Minigame collections like you'd never believe!

And above all...

Numerous unannounced games that are being developed to cash in on the Wii trend in which companies assume the consumer base loves to play crappy games that took all of 10 minutes to make!

I'm waiting for Crush Wii ... <.<  >.>

And, now that I finally got to see the video, Final Destination looks AMAZING.  And the end was just ... wow.  I was surprised about Sonic's recovery; everything I heard mentioned the spring and he only used it once....

Dammit. :(

Then again, the three games I'd definitely want on the Wii (Mr Gay, Super Paper Mario, Brawl, maybe I'd try SSR for a fourth) is still probably more than the games I'd want on the other systems (DMC4 aaaaannnnddd.....?)

SJ old.

SkyLights' list is 100% true unfortunately. Oh Nintendo, what has become of thee?

Crowbar, don't be too exited about SMG. It's quite bad for a Mario game - short-lived, FAR too easy, without much replay value and the worst: it's not even fun at times.
It does have a few great moments though so it's not all that bad. But one of the worst main Mario games I've played yet.
Also I still need SPM and SSR. :(

I don't think it's a "what's become of Nintendo" situation; more that third-party devs just didn't see the Wii's success coming.  There'll be more half-decent titles coming when they've ad time for a full dev cycle (this coming Christmas, I'd think) but the AAA titles will still hit the 360/PS3 because 1) that's what EA et al had predicted and built their future on, 2) fancy graphics allow them to sell otherwise poor content and the Wii doesn't offer that cover-up, 3) there's this perception of the Wii as a 'family' console - ie it's not marketed at what's been the key demo (mostly guys, 18-30).  For me, what this means is opportunity for some new and innovative ways of doing stuff (things like Guitar Hero would suit the Wii really well because of it's accessibility and group gameplay, for instance - yeah I know you don't want ports, it was an example of innovation, stfu); I also think there's a good market for point-and-click adventures and FF-style RPGs on the Wii, neither of which have been hit (I also think a non-hardcore, hour-a-day type MMO could do well).  For Big Content, this means ZOMG CHANGE, DO NOT WANT.

On the other hand, now moreso than ever we've variety and competition, which should be good for consumers.

Corwbar, don't listen to ppa's opinion on smg. Everyone else believes the platforming with gravity is some of the most fun in a mario game to date, there are plenty of stars, and graphically it's near the best wii game out there.

Wait, what? Namco took a Tales game away from Tales Studio???

Er, perhaps a bad choice of words. The development team responsible for Tales of Symphonia is not working on ToS2, rather it is working on the that Tales of Vesperia game for the Xbox 360. Some other team is handling ToS2, according to my anime-freak insider sources who keep up with every ounce of Tales news imaginable.

Okami Wii?!

YES

IT IS BEING PORTED BY READY-AT-DAWN which IIRC was the same studio that ported RE4 to the PS2, which happened to turn out pretty well. They've gone ahead and made the game support 480p resolution and wiimote control for the brush movements, so as long as reviews don't make me question whether or not the Wii version has been destroyed rather thoroughly, totally an auto-buy for me. I must play Clover's last title...
