Title: ATTN: sdj6707
Post by: SpinDashMaster on January 01, 2008, 08:01:28 pm
Observe closely at yet another magical 24-hour chart sweep: http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_3/rings . I'm afraid I'm gonna have to call this one out on sdj6707.

Care to explain how you got so many ringcounts so fast? It's OK if you were charging up and mass submitting; in which case you'd be as prepared as I am to reveal videos of accomplishments. Have you got some .giz files to back you up? Or are you another Aitamen?

Hmmm.... interesting that yesterday he had 423 points, and today he has 22.

Definitely BS or he played all night collecting rings.

An entire night can be spent on one of these RA's alone.

While we're here, might I also draw attention to this chart (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_2/times/death_egg/sonic).

whats the big deal about 46? it must REALLY suck, since theres a SET amount of time you have to kill the boss with the jetpack jumping strategy,(or else you blow it) meaning he should have the same time as stanski but he does not therefore he really sucks at the level, so why should that arise attention?

Sorry, I made a serious mistake. I got 0:56 in death egg

I am already on vacation here.
I was up all night.
It is not to be done in a day.
It´s an old practice.
(Sorry, I can't speak English.)

Thank you

K, now before my topic got mike'd, one issue remains unsettled: the Sonic 3 rings. Got some backup recorded for that? Can you at least describe how you did some of these levels?

Bump for relevance.

On a side note, I've been seeing so many people suddenly shooting up the ranks at S3 with little to no proof, SDJ being one of them, and to a lesser extent (he was there beforehand) K-Dero.

I really would like to see at least some proof, as I have no idea whether whatever you're submitting is real.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSVjIWkLWh8 - comment on sdj's CP2 Sonic time.

As the rules stand, runs must be done with only one character so this strat is not legal. (However, this rule may change in the near future.)

[21:33:17] <CodeGirl> [-New Record-] sdj6707 got 0:30 on S1 / Times / Green Hill 3 (Sonic)
...
[21:37:03] <Upth> GHZ3 TAS time is 0:30 and 56 frames
[21:37:29] <Upth> which means there's only 3 frames of leeway between TAS time and 0:31
...
[21:39:39] <Upth> PS, he loses 4 frames to the TAS if he doesn't have a frame perfect left->right->jump->release-jump-at-just-the-right-frame start .
[21:40:12] <Upth> so he's either TASing or BSing

Now tell us why we should believe any other stat you've claimed.

Haven't we made it well aware to you that tasing is not ok?

Now, wait a minute.

Submitting TAS stats is not something that automatically happens. You directly intended to defeat the purpose of the rankings by submitting them.

Given that a fair number of your other stats resembled near-superhuman efficiency or achievement, why should we assume good faith now that you have already demonstrated bad faith?

Basically, the only reason I am not suspending all your stats now is that if they are real and the TAS stats somehow got onto the site through some forgivable means, it would be a shame to throw out all that effort. But if there is no worthy explanation, then suspension is the only option to maintain the credibility of the rankings.

LMAO - teh banned

I don't understand how you can play any of these games on the computer because of the ability to TAS.  If I were to start playing some of the other sonic games, I would dust off my genesis and fire it up.  The charts are only credible granted people are not cheating and following the site guidelines but it's just too easy here, right?  He has submitted lots of WR's just seconds after someone else took it from him.  Not to mention he reaches this level of playing in just a few weeks.  Kmacc did not trust him either on Sonic R for reasons he's stated before.

Good to see some action taken against him but I want the whole enchilada.

This made me lol.  =D

I always thought something was weird with sdj. I also play Sonic R really so I don't know about the other games, but even there stuff seemed rather fishy. As Etch stated, he would beat records I had taken hours to get in matters of like minutes. Of course that's entirely possible, but the probability of doing that time after time is slim to none.

I also found his quick up-rise in Sonic CD to be quite suspicious. However when I showed his YouTube videos to Sprint, he said they wouldn't look TASed... (And if Sprint says it, it must be true! Unless he says I'm a furry! >_>)

I have to stand for S1 here. And not only about sdj's times/scores. If we assuming sdj BS stats, I call attenttion to smizzla too, since he's taking the same path sdj took (posting a big amount of incredibly difficult stats in a matter of 1 or 2 days).

So when do sdj's stats get removed?
Because then my S3D rank goes up again....  <_<  >_>

Now that I don't have to worry about my times being beaten by a quick TAS run, I will get around to filming and explaining all the shortcuts I have found in Sonic R so far, also a time scroll of my recent stuff.  Some of them involve randomly falling through walls so I hope to at least show where those events can sometimes happen, lol.

This should make the game more "fun" for some of you guys. :)

Sadly, we don't believe you anymore and we aren't willing to take that risk. You, "by chance", only competed on games susceptible to be TASed (with the exception of Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure, but you had Chankast to cheat on the last one). That's why your videos prove nothing. Why haven't you uploaded (to TSC or YouTube) any Sonic Heroes video when you like to give "video proof" so much?

Bah...
