Title: I call BS on floan
Post by: Zeupar on January 26, 2007, 05:33:37 am
In mi opinion all his records are impossible. It looks like he used special stages in some records.

Suspicious records. (http://www.soniccenter.org/members/floan/records)

We've covered this before. He's entered cumulative scores instead of individual levels.

Actually, I could delete them right now if you want.

There, done.

Again...

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/sonic)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/knuckles)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/tails (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/tails)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/knuckles)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/cosmic_angel_2/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/cosmic_angel_2/sonic)

What a coincidence! So I think these are fake too:

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/amy (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/amy)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/angel_island_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/angel_island_1/knuckles)

Even these:

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/sonic)
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/knuckles)

In fact all his ring stats could be fake reading this (http://www.cyberscoreforums.com/index.php/topic,6344.0.html), especially relpy #14.

Enjoy. <_<

Just because he entered cumulative scores doesnt automatically mean he lied on his Ring stats.

Actually Zeupar, I'm really not seeing at all what's so fishy

So he ring attacked a few levels and got all the rings. I don't see what's so sketchy about that...

If he was just posting ring counts that were the record, then we would see it in a few levels. Look at his knuckles and sonic ngh1 ring records. They aren't tied for first like his other records. This makes sense because knuckles and sonic can access the secret island in that level, which mean ALOT more luck manipulation for the rings. Amy just has to deal with one {?} capsule, and it's not that hard to find all the rings in the first few levels of the game, so its easy to just restart until you get 40 rings for that capsule as Amy.

Doing that for 3 capsules in one level is near impossible because of the amount of luck that is required. and it seems that he didn't have that luck for knuckles, and that he doesn't know how to get up to the island with sonic, so he just did Amy's route again

am I missing something?

oh also, is this the same guy that posted fake level scores (like all of them were in the high 90,000 or 100,000's)

Yes Taco, he posted his scores cumulativly, so no exactly fake, but in breach of the rules

So what is the degree of luck manipulation generally required for those rings to have been tied? I would be more skeptical on a different game, but is it not correct that every random ring box in a level is something like 1:5 of a particular value? Unless there's 0-1 boxes on all those ties, the likelihood starts getting really slim really fast.

1:6 of a particular value.

These are the most suspicious:

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/knuckles)
Four random boxes.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/sonic)
Two random boxes.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/secret_base_1/knuckles)
Two random boxes.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/tails (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/tails)
Three random boxes.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/ice_mountain_1/knuckles)
Three random boxes.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/cosmic_angel_2/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/cosmic_angel_2/sonic)
Seven random boxes (maybe more).

So probably he just copied my stats for these charts too:

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/amy (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/amy)
One random box.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/angel_island_1/knuckles (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/angel_island_1/knuckles)
One random box.
http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/sonic (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_advance/rings/neo_green_hill_1/sonic)
One random box.

And look at this (http://www.cyberscoreforums.com/index.php/topic,6344.0.html), especially relpy #14.

I find this sufficiently compelling evidence to issue a suspension. If there is any contraindication I will be happy to reverse it.
