We're up on DreamHost now. Unfortunately, things are moving rather slower; I'll see what I can do about it. Submissions are down in the meantime. F-Zero will come up as soon as the subdomain passes through.
Update: Here's the deal with submissions - they simply aren't efficient enough to deal with the slowness of the database server. I did a partial rewrite and tested a few days ago (hence the new stats in the update list), and they're getting closer, but aren't quite all there yet; it takes roughly 5sec to process each stat submitted, which is fine for a single submission but when someone submits a sheet of 50 just doesn't cut it. So I'm doing a more thorough rewrite which does more extensive webserver-side caching, and that should bring us through. Optimistic TTL 1-2 days, pessimistic a week, cynical 2-3 weeks.
Another random note - if you pay attention to the processing time at the bottom, you'll see it occasionally dips below zero. I have no idea why, and it's not just TSC; even the server db apps give negative processing times. Huh.
Update2: They've moved us onto an apparently less loaded server. Hopefully that'll get TSC up to speed.
Update3: Well, submissions were about to go up, and then the server randomly asploded and Gerbil and I spent the next few hours picking up the pieces. I guess we'll see how things go in the morning, since it looks like there's a kink or two left to iron out, but the speed's finally there.
Update4: TSC is re-re-moving, to a server that can deal with the load. Any posts made on the forum after this point will -not- carry over, so you probably don't want to bother posting until this message is no longer on the front page.

Good to be back. While we're waiting for submissions to come back, I'll start getting those S ranks on Sonic 06 and start some TAing. Just short of sub 3 minutes for Radical Train (Sonic), short of 4 minutes on Wave Ocean (Sonic), got sub 3 for Radical Train (Shadow), sub 3 for Tropical Jungle (Silver), and sub 10 for Crisis City (Silver).

Yeah really, Groudon. I'm happy too. I got a lot of stuff to do here now that the site's back up. I got a good feeling about Riders and plus got a MAJOR update for my Compt. Suggestions topic - magnum, I'm sure you'd be interested since it also covers 06.

I'm glad but really can't wait for submissions to be allowed again. At the same time, I started getting very good Sonic Heroes times and the site was down. I also didn't even know the f-zero site went up yet until the site was being moved. Hope I can submit tomorrow ^_^

It seems that right now, most of the slowdown is caused by the database server. The SQL queries need to be optimized so it doesn't take a bazillion queries to update a single stat. :)
Also, I helped Rolken set up eAccelerator, a PHP cache, so the PHP scripts should execute more quickly (disregarding the SQL server lag).

how come i'm seeing new stats pop up, but i'm still unable to submit any of my own? is there a secret way to hack the submissions page i'm unaware of?

Yeah really! I have literal records to submit for Riders that I'm dying to submit!! :( (Plus one stats for Heroes but that's not as noteworthy.)
I hope I can submit soon as well but props goes out to all of you who've been working behind the scenes on making sure the site is running properly, especially with the server change and all.

You don't think I have any insane stat improvements? Think again. (http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/shadow_the_hedgehog/times/glyphic_canyon/hero) My current best is around 2:50, giving me a 7-spot jump from orange to red.

The TSC main page says "The Gerbil Center" at the top. :) *shot*
I'm going to leave that for now so you can tell whether DNS has updated. If it says "The Sonic Center", it's the Dreamhost (old) server. If it says "The Gerbil Center", it's the HostGator (new) server.
