Title: Contributing question
Post by: DJ Koopa on March 21, 2006, 11:33:47 am
Y'know, I was checking the contributors section and the media section, and only found a few manuals were there for some games. Seeing as my sister got a brand new HP 1500 flatbed scanner, I was wondering if y'all wanted me to take some manuals, scan them, and..... whatever you do to put them up. The manuals I have waiting are these:

Sonic Adventure DX (GCN)
Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GCN)
Sonic Heroes (GCN)
Sonic Mega Collection (GCN)
Sonic Riders (GCN)
Sonic Advance 2 (GBA)
Sonic Advance 3 (GBA)
Sonic Battle (GBA)

Yeah, it'd take me about half an hour to scan them all, but the real question is... what Picture Format should they be? Image Size? File Size? Should I cut them in half to have them page-by-page (individually) or leave them as a double page (like shown in Mega Collection)?

Yay, great.

Image size... no more than about 600 pixels each dimension I'd say. png is preferred, but jpeg works.

Probably best to have single pages so they can be bigger and still fit on the screen, but maybe with the tall manuals it doesn't so much matter.

:o

I made the pictures 600 height, but they're 700 width. But then again, after taking an hour to correctly do the first manual, I didn't cut them in half, so they're double pages. Also, I'll try to get the rest in PNG 'cause I was too tired to fool around from changing it out of JPG, but at least it's high quality. I dread the SA2B manual... 65 pages... *shudder*

Here is Sonic Mega Collection (in a ZIP file): http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2QPNNW9...180QGVQTD6UMXI2 (http://s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2QPNNW9T9GS180QGVQTD6UMXI2)

BTW, Rolken... how much webspace do you have?

*Steals SADX manual*

What? Mine didn't even come with a case. Silly used games. (Not like it's that hard to play lol)

Psh, I bought mine used and it came with the case and manual.

Might explain it's horribly-over-priced-ness. :(

Finally fixed the Sonic Heroes manual link, and Riders will be done tomorrow. Possibly Sonic Advance 2 as well.
