I'd highly suggest you get Gens+ - Gens movie is intended for TAS recordings. (and Gens+ movies come out much smaller)

Just Google Gens+ and you should get it.

I had Gens + ages ago!

But for this place i see avi files so is this really a need?Or can i submit GIZ files too?

If you can put up a GIZ/GIR file, someone else can convert to AVI just by recording the screen during playback.
