Title: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games
Post by: ieatatsonic on November 09, 2007, 04:16:54 pm
Has anybody played this game? I just got it and I have gotten to the Satellite circuit. Here's some of my best scores:

- WR on High jump with Shadow(2.60)
- 9.305 on Trampoline with Shadow
- I got first in Skulling with Shadow( I think my time was around 12.453)

I'll post more scores, as soon as I get better.

It's a great way to get a decent work out. Fencing and trampoline are fun events. Some things about do annoy me though. The rules for the Long Jump and Javelin throw don't make much sense logically and are not realistic. The most important things to getting good distance/height on a jump are speed and powerful leg muscles. Raising the Wiimote quickly logically simulates that strength in the character's legs. Similar logic applies to tossing javelins. The part that doesn't make sense is the mechanic that punishes you for doing what would logically make sense in the real life version of the event.

111.??m on Javelin Throw with Bowser.
8.8?m on Long Jump with Sonic.
9.??? on Trampoline with Waluigi

By the way, My friend told me that someone had the bar on high jump raised way above the point where the vertical bars end.
