Title: some simple questions...

eh everybody...

i've been wondering...

1. what are db calls??

2. how do you protect this site from cheaters??

3. how come some videos wont work...

4. how do you get 18 seconds on emerald hill zone act 1 in sonic 2??


hope y'all can answer this questions....

and watch out .... the records i submitted arent the quickest one yet ( this ABSOLUTELY wasn't a threat , was banned for this one time on a other site)

1. DB Calls goes up every time the site looks at the database that keeps all of the users and times.

2. and 3. http://www.soniccenter.org/siteinfo/faq (http://www.soniccenter.org/siteinfo/faq) (Also, on the vids, some of them haven't been reuploaded since the downtime we had during the spring.)

4. I don't even know if 18 is possible on EH1. I know it was debatable whether 19 was for a while.

It's not. 18 is the emulated time.

19 is the absolute limit at full speed.

I believe that was what I meant mike.

I don't put emulated runs into consideration anyways because I only play on my Genesis.

I'll add something on db calls to the faq.

Also pretty much the only people who get banned here are those who cheat, and occasionally jerks and annoyers who refuse to quit.
