S3D because (1) you can compete in it then and (2) the Saturn version is the best of the three.

I wouldn' compete in it though, just play it a few times normally, probably.

Not that I have any personal experience, but I've heard lots of good things about the Parodius series.

I wasn't aware there was a collection on PSP for any of those.

Yeah, containing every Parodius game ever (not in all versions though).
Though with the exception of the MSX one I could also get all of them on Saturn, two in a collection and two others individually.
