Title: Godly's Art.
Post by: Godly-Effect on August 02, 2006, 08:35:22 am

Phoenix (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36911333/) What more can I say, A phoenix that I drew and Colored quite quickly but still looks good.

Back from the Dead (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36347681/) features my Megafied version of Nintendos Dry Bones.

Timari - Surrounded by Cyber (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/35811893/) One of my favourite works that I have made, I'm very proud with this one.

Shade, The wolf. (http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/36072156/) He is evil and he is mine, my own personal Fan Character :) I made him an animal that hasn't appeared yet in the Sonic Series and also tried to make him look... Different from Sonic, Shadow, Silver, Tails and other Sonic Characters and Fan Characters. :)

Enjoy my art people!

There is a half-weasel half-wolf in the series. >_>

But these are very good. I like them a lot.

Oh yea here it is. I made up a new fan character inspired by Shade the Wolf. Named him Crow Wolf. He has a sword but it's also a shotgun and he's half wolf half vampire. All because of this. So that's why I'm here to necro this.

Only thing is I have to decide on his age and refine his personality. I can make him younger (Laharl clone?) or older (Dante/Shadow clone?).

I'll draw him up and show you sometime.

I'm more concerned by the whole fan character deal.

-All this talk about useless fan characters just gave me a twisted idea for a story based joke in terms of that Sonic RPG idea I posted in the above linked topic. Story Idea: While Sonic and the others are one some other quest, a whole army of fan characters (broken 4th wall joke consisting of a bunch of cheap recolors of Sonic characters and other useless guys) decide to try to beat Egg Man on their own. Of course, they fail miserably and get the axe in all sorts of cheap, yet hilarious ways.
-*Looks at Crow and prepares sarcastic response.*
Laharl: What idiot dares mock the presence of the great prince Laharl? *Laughs with his trademark uber-annoying laugh, then drops a meteor on Crow's head.*

Lame.

Btw funny that you just made fun of Sonic recolors (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/9/9b/Scourge_the_Hedgehog_Profile.jpg/399px-Scourge_the_Hedgehog_Profile.jpg) and cheap parodies (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f8/Rob_O%27The_Hedge.jpg) because I just came from another forum in argument over whether or not Sega does better character design than Archie.

Anyway fyi I make damn decent fan characters. (then again I showed you one of mine a while back) And there's nothing wrong with Shade the Wolf.

Now now, egg.  The site as a whole is pretty much not focused on fan characters.  Now I have to admit, your fan characters are nothing like the ten-second recolors (At least, it's possible to recolor a sprite of one in ten seconds).  However, the site doesn't look at that, but rather the aspects of pushing the games to their limits.

I personally think there's nothing wrong with having fan characters.  However, I just find it best not to bring it up in discussion around here.

And I wouldn't be surprised if the necromancy was an accident.

More importantly, eggy needs to get a sense of humour and learn that just because someone disagrees with you or pokes fun doesn't mean it's a personal attack you should be mortally offended by (although if you're after some I can supply, I'm good at putting people's backs up ;)

Also yeah - recolours suck, and having done some spriting/photoshopping myself I know it's not that hard to introduce some originality to a character.

Moving away from Sonic is a good way to start. :O

Yeah, when we poke fun here, its usually intended to be humorous/playful. Mentioning the words "Laharl clone" is just asking for some form of Laharl inspired comment dood. On the bright side, at least no "hodgepodge" fan characters have been mentioned (the type where parts from random characters are fused, then combined with cheap jackets, shades, bad neck ties, or other bad clothing into one super lame fan character).

Yea, I totally have a sense of humor and I totally understand that this is not a fan character site. Did you ever doubt me?

lol you said 'dood'

btw Quartz the necro was not accidental. You could say that I was blisteringly aware of what I was doing.

But what are you guys gonna do? Ban me? HAHAHAHAHA

I know what you're thinking. "Did he ban six noobs or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful banhammer in the world, and would ban your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky?

Well, do ya, punk?

Wrong, I've got the most powerful ban hammer in the world. (We all know a comical full scale ban hammer arms race is going to start soon.) At my side is the all powerful Bancannon 9000. It's basically a giant arterilly designed to throw prinnies armed with their oversized bombs at a target at super high velocities. We all know what happens when you throw a prinny, right?
-Prinnies: We're totally doomed, dood!
BTW, the first targets of the Bancannon 9000 are those hideous recolor examples provided by egg for the purpose of displaying what truly horrible fan characters look like.

Should've been a .12 Magnum.

I thought a .44 was the more powerful calibur gun.
