I was told that SA2 is coming out to PC on this Monday coming, so wondered if anyone is interested in racing the game to celebrate it. I was thinking Tuesday maybe same time as TSCRN, could change it if people want to. Goals will be either Dark story or all three stories, since we raced Hero last time. Let me know by Monday 10pm EST.
1) All stories: 3
2) Dark Story: 3
6pm EST: 2
Current as of reply #22

Or race anytime anywhere

Werey if you don't stop posting nonsense on the TSC race board I'll start removing your posts that have nothing to do with the topic at hand.
-
All story's gets my vote, I've never tried racin' that before.
-
Its not nonsense. Its corrections and suggestions.
-
And the first reply was relevant.
-
All stories

Could you please nicely explain how this is relevant to the topic? It seems we are missing the point here.
-
I think what he is saying is that we don't have to organise the SA2 race at all, since it can be done anytime. The reason I'm doing this is because we did the exact same thing when SA2 came out on XBL/PSN. Granted that was planned, I just thought it would be nice to not let the PC people feel left out, who want to buy this and couldn't race last time. We had a huge number of racers for the last race, as it's a popular game, so you never know we could have the same turn out again.
-
You're going to really struggle to get as many racers in an impromptu race as a planned one. I think having this planned race is definitely worth it - also having a planned race doesn't mean you can't also do impromptu races, it's not like they're mutually exclusive.
-
I'm in for either goal if we can use any version of the game (all I have is GC and a non-working DC version).
-
Just remembered something, if all three stories are raced the sequence will be disallowed.
-
sequence?
-
^Its where you skip levels by playing one over and over while the game still thinks you're progressing.
Thank RPG for that.
-
I have never heard of that before o-O
-
Then clearly you should go and watch DsS's video.
-
Well maybe if someone had mentioned that in the first place >__>
-
Well it wasn't discovered that long ago and it's been mentioned now <_<
-
Does anyone want the race at 6pm EST? I need to know by the time I wake up tomorrow.
-
I was considering joining this race, but I didn't notice it was tomorrow (Tuesday). I won't be free until 11 PM EST at earliest. I'm quite sure that's not gonna work for Europeans, so count me out of this one.
Good luck to all participants, and uh... let's see, a random tip... remember to hold A or B (instead of mashing) when you home into Finalhazard.
-
probably late for this, but i'm gonna throw in a vote for dark side story since that's the only way i'll have time to race tomorrow evening(it'd probably take me 4 or more hours to beat all stories lol). i would also prefer starting at 6pm est assuming a miracle happens and we race dark side story lol.

My god. Now I won't have a blue time any more. How in the world did I never learn this? I wondered why 75% of the time I would just bounce off of the sores without dealing damage...
I'm curious, do you have to be able to stream to participate in these? It's a moot point for me as I'll not be getting home from work until around 7 ET anyway, but I'd like to know for the future.

No streaming required unless of course you emulate it is my understanding. NG+ or bust
-
Decided on Dark Story. We'll have an all stories race next time SA2 is raced. We'll also start the race at 6pm EST, which means the room will be open at 5pm.

New Game+ seems a bit out of the spirit of celebrating the release of the new PC version of the game. I don't know if anyone will actually be racing on that version though!

thanks guys for doing the dark story and the 6pm start time, i'm glad i was able to make it!
